Babysitting/Writing
Well...this past week my niece's dad has actually been babysitting almost the whole time. He says that it's because my sister was sick and couldn't take care of her, but it's a bit odd that the actual babysitters, (who are perfectly healthy and everything) haven't been babysitting. That saying, I've been loving my break for the past few days. This last week I managed to write near four thousand words, which is fantastic for someone who hasn't been up to it lately.
Also, I caught up on a lot of my favorite authors and although I still need to read a few more, I am SO proud of myself! I'm hoping I can keep this up but it's been nice being able to write and actually FEEL proud of yourself for it. I still have quite a bit of replying to do, but hey, I'm enjoying myself.
Not much painting but I'm still trying my hand at drawing. Still sucks most of the time. But I think I'm getting better, hopefully. ^_^ I've been spending nearly an hour a day trying to figure it all out.
Anyway, I've been scouting for more awesome Harry Potter stories to read and I'm having a great time looking and deciding which pairings are my favorite. I DO like Draco/Harry, not sure why, but it's a bit addicting. There isn't too much Remus/Sirius, but I'll keep looking but the stuff I have found with them are awesome! I was a bit surprised when I managed to read a Harry/Voldemort story, so I'm starting to think as long as it's well-written, I'll be able to read anything from that fandom. Found some more Snarry, which is great, but I found an amazing one but it hasn't been finished. In fact, it hasn't been updated in '08. It's starting to really frustrate me, especially since it was such a fantastic story, but it ended at a rather terrible spot to quit writing.
I'm hoping maybe to start writing some Harry Potter. I posted a chapter of a long-story, but honestly, I prefer writing drabbles. They are SO much easier to complete, so...still thinking about it. OH, and I hope to start painting again soon. So, sorry for all of the...well...rambling. Anyway, do you have any recommendations to read? I didn't notice it, but all of the pairings are slash. *snickers* For someone who claims that "slash" isn't exactly my thing, I sure read a lot.
OH, it's also awesome reading everyone's posts too! I know I don't nearly comment enough, but I do read almost all of them.
