I found this from my belovéd one in my morning email:
...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TO 6 PM CST TUESDAY...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TWIN CITIES/CHANHASSEN HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TO 6 PM CST TUESDAY.
A STRONG ARCTIC COLD FRONT WILL PLOW INTO WEST CENTRAL MINNESOTA LATE THIS EVENING REACHING WESTERN WISCONSIN TUESDAY MORNING. NORTHWEST WINDS BEHIND THIS FRONT WILL GUST TO 30 TO 40 MPH AS VERY COLD AIR BLASTS ACROSS THE AREA. BEHIND THE FRONT TEMPERATURES WILL FALL QUICKLY AND A PERIOD OF SNOW IS LIKELY. SNOW AMOUNTS SHOULD BE GENERALLY AN INCH OR LESS ACROSS WESTERN AND CENTRAL MINNESOTA BUT COULD REACH 2 OR 3 INCHES IN WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN INTO SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA. ANY NEWLY FALLEN SNOW WILL BE SUSCEPTIBLE BLOWING WITH SIGNIFICANT VISIBILITY REDUCTIONS POSSIBLE. WIND CHILLS WILL REACH 30 BELOW IN WESTERN MINNESOTA BY TUESDAY MORNING WITH 20 TO 25 BELOW ZERO WIND CHILLS IN EASTERN MINNESOTA AND WESTERN WISCONSIN BY EVENING. EVEN COLDER WIND CHILLS LIE AHEAD FOR TUESDAY NIGHT.
I just love that last sentence; it sounds so ominous.
Soundtrack from My Morning Walk (Yesterday)
The neighbor's dog, Missy, greeted me with considerable enthusiasm as I passed her driveway on the way home Monday morning. Then she ignored her owner's calls and ran ahead of me to get a good sniff at our mailbox. I finally got hold of her collar and walked her partway toward him before cutting her loose to charge at him. (Once you make it fun for them, a dog will generally do the right thing.)

Quote of the Day
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.
