There are so many things Ennis had said and done to Jack that he wished he could take back. He loved him. How could he just let him go like that? How could he just drive away? How could he have let Jack drive away? He didn't know. Now he wished he could just hold Jack and tell him he was sorry. Jack was the reason he lived. Jack was the only person keeping him sane. Jack was all he wanted and all he lived for. Ennis knew he was flawed and kept all his emotions bottled up and wasn't good with words. But Jack kept coming back. Ennis was thankful for that. He decided. He would tell Jack exactly how he felt when he came back.
