Oh, hey. Morning, dad.

[Beast Boy perches atop a piece of rubble in a frog-like manner, hands between his feet. He looks ready to spring away.]

[Thor whirls, a chunk of debris in his hand ready to fling - and stops when he recognizes That Boy. So he's not dead, either. He lowers his hand, letting the rock fall to the ground.]

You're alive! What's happened here, boy?

[shapechanger]

[And... Beast Boy springs like a skittish frog, landing on another piece of rubble nearby.]

...Dude. Can you please stop almost hitting me?

Your guess is as good as mine. Looks like Mayfield exploded.

[richtighammer]

I can see that! What could have leveled it while we slept?

[He is rather disappointed in himself over this - he cannot believe he didn't at least wake up.]

...Are you wounded, boy?

I'm gonna say it has something to do with that phone call from last night. And nah, I'm fine. I've had bigger things than a house fall on me.

[Thor is never sure whether or not to take what this kid says seriously. The best strategy, he finds, is one that always seemed to work in conversations with Loki - just let the suspicious comment go by and punish the falsehood, if it becomes apparent, later.]

That is well. You ought stay by me - I do not know what they will send against us next, but I will not leave a child to face it alone.

[Beast Boy hops on down from the rubble and stands up straight.]

You'd better worry about the others in town, though. I've gotta find my team and see what we're gonna do 'bout all of this.

Your team?

[This is the first he's heard about it. Far be it from him to stand in the way of a man with a plan, but...]
