We spoke about sterotypes after reading in our tutorial " the man from mars" , and then Kate made us sterotype the typical "uni student" and it was funny how we typically talked ourselves up. But sterotypes i believe are a mean margialnizlation of people and it seperates the society because "they" dont want to be associated with "them".
It would be perfect if people could look past the tag that seems to determine who they are. But sterotypes help i suppose when communicating with another sterotype break down the barrier of miscommunication because they know how the other person "typically" acts, and although sterotypes are a mean thing it is sometimes could and it has to be honest worked for me alot more than against me, when people are proved wrong by the preception of the person they see the world in a different light.
I have a few examples, after i got kicked out form my old school, i went to the schol that i had attended in year 7 and 8, the headmaster i knew percived me as a typical football jock, and a bit of a bad ass that would inevitably stuff up in year 12, i told him i promise you that you will never see me in this room this year he said ok but didnt mean it. Anyway i excelled in my final year and near the last days of school at Ruby function i walked up to him and i said with all my confidence "i told you i wouild never be in your room, i kept my promise and you didnt believe me and i know you didnt trust me" and i walked away not something i recommended all people to do to senior people haha. But the next day he told a very close friend to the family who is deputy headmaster who rang mum and said that the headmaster was proved wrong by richard (me) haha and he ddint know a boy who thought of morality so strongly at a young age. SO sterotyping is bad but it awakens the ignorant.
p.s dont give a poopy wat other people think of you,the only persons opion that matters is the one staring back at you from the mirror.
