1. Jason Priestley (born August 28, 1969), actor, was born in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He is best known for his role on the television series Beverly Hills 90210 as the virtuous Brandon Walsh. He also appeared on the short-lived television series Sister Kate (1989). He received good reviews for his work in Love and Death on Long Island (1997), in which he played a teen idol. In 2004 he became a series regular on Tru Calling, and in 2006 joined the series Love Monkey.
2. Shania Twain, OC (born August 28, 1965) is a Canadian singer and songwriter who has been very successful in the country and pop music genres, setting several sales records for female artists and for country artists.

Afonso V of Portugal (Portuguese pron. IPA /ɐ'fõsu/; English Alphonzo), or Affonso (Archaic Portuguese), the African (Port. o Africano), 12th king of Portugal and Algarves was born in Sintra in January 15, 1432 and died in the same city in August 28, 1481. He was the oldest son of king Duarte of Portugal by his wife, princess Eleanor of Aragon. Afonso V was onlly six years old when he succeeded his father in 1438.
