So, on Saturday we drove down to RI to help move Master El's stuff (so that his landlord doesn't throw it all out while he's in the hospital). El had been letting the housekeeping slide for some time, so it was a daunting, grubby job. I believe that it was decided that the new punishment for all Barony of the Bridge offenses will be a set time spent catalouging El's books. Behave yourselves when visiting Bridge, folks.
After that we went tequila shopping, as the mezcal we like is not sold anywhere closer than Exeter, RI. Ordinarily I would not have gone so far out of the way, but since we were there anyway...
We acquired two excellent bottles of tequila, the aforementioned mezcal and a bottle of tequila to give as a gift to Cory. Spent the evening with Cory and Becky, making wood-baked pizzas, drinking and talking bullshit about old times. It was really good to see them again - we are crap about keeping in touch with anyone more than an hour's drive away. We ended up camping out at their house, and left the next morning.
Sunday was a slow day spent shopping at Mahoney's with Rob and then doing battle with the hostas-of-gargantuan-size in the side yard. Terry was too whipped to hang out after the ordeal that is Mother's Day (bane of chefs), and Jen and Troy were doing dace things. Thus, it was just Rob, Jack and I for dinner and TV. Caught up on the Daily Show, watched Battlestar Galactica. President Roslin was wearing the least believable bald cap in the history of man. It was distracting.
All in all, it was a pretty good weekend.
