I  think that the silliest thing that anyone has said - it was while I was listening in a rather desultory manner to Radio 4 so I missed the name - was that the Archbishop should go back to his professorial Chair .

I am very very sorry for all the people who have floods - but please will certain supposedly professional communicators stop saying that a river burst its banks - unless, of course, it really did burst them?

Borrowed Kitty has bitten two huge chunks off the flexible aerial wire on the radio/CD player. Fortunately, it's the old one that is hardly ever used, but it's very worrying. Her mistress thought that she had cured her of chewing wires, but this has happened within the past two days.
