Well as it turns out, the Muay Thai class is not a Muay Thai class. Even though I went through a free class and the listing still says so, it is not. (I will add it does say elsewhere on their site though what the class is-- found it later.) Anyay it is really the MMA strike class that is part of a broader MMA cirriculum which has others taking BJJ and wrestling/grappling in addition. The owner is the only representative of the Royce gracie school and is playing to that.
Still it was a good class. All hand work and my arms are still tired. I rolled my wrist once too which is making it tender. I certainly sweated quite well. At this rate I will be below 200 lbs. by the end of summer. Though still since I am there primarily for the fitness, though skill is also a goal, being in a class of people hell ebnt on getting into at least amateur MMA is a bit unnerving. The philosophy seems to be a thrown into the deep end kind of thing.
Still I was quite happy and this did not kick my ass nearly as much as the fist one. That is an improvement.
