Ever since we've been planning our bedroom's furniture redux, one of the components has been lighting. I have a lamp and Nicole has a lamp but they're both different sizes with different style lamp shades and are different colors (hers is metallic and mine is wood). Naturally once we purchased matching dressers and night stands we also wanted to have corresponding lamps that both matched each other and the decor.
But shopping for lighting isn't the most exciting. Some of the places we've been in to have had lamps that are either too eclectic, too modern, or too rustic. There didn't appear to be a basic cherry wood or wrought iron design that matched our design aesthetic or price requirements in the places we'd already visited, which I must admit weren't numerous.
Tonight, though, we stepped into Home Goods over at Buckhead Crossings and lo and behold there were two lamps - on clearance no less - that matched our needs exactly! So we brought them home!
Matching lamps... how about that! :)
