what will the 21st century window brothel look like?

Wonder no longer. Courtesy of the Amsterdams Historisch Museum, which also organised an "expert meeting" to ask the important questions: how will brothels develop in the 21st century? Will narrow beds, red lights and mirrors continue to play important roles?

Apparently, yes. Also gigantic, paranoia-inducing projections, which make it look an awful lot like a DUMBO gallery project or a cheap publicity stunt. Obviously moderately NSFW.

This has the potential to be a really, really wonderful architectural history/sociology project. I sense that someone at AHM is willing it to be exactly that. But they're working on their own.

In other news: looking for a short film about mathematical nature mysticism but don't want to fast forward through Darren Aronofsky's "Pi" for the ram's horn/Fibonacci bit? Nature by Numbers features soothing colours and a softly minimalist-inspired soundtrack that are comparatively unlikely to leave you with headachy jitters.
