Postcolonialism by way of Platitudes
I'm glad someone's done it, I guess, but on balance I don't think I really want to pay attention to some noted atheist spouting off on Issues of the World. For why should I? Because they share some aspect of my (lack of a) metaphysical orientation?* Perhaps allowing oneself to be labeled "atheist" is itself meekly accepting the terms of a discourse created by religious types. Tell me, all you minorities: how do you feel about being seen as a category, especially by people who share your category?
And making fun of religious spouters is more fun.
