me

Apr 24, 2005 03:48

I like to sleep under lots of blankets with the air conditioning on and a fan blowing on me. I like gorditas, with baja sauce. I like Mountain Dew. I like to dance, real dancing. I take lessons at the Fred Astaire Dance Academy. I like to tango, Waltz, 2 step, Swing any ballroom. I like to dress up nice. I like women who dress fancy all the time. I carry the following things in my glove compartment: a personal nail manicure kit with files, cuticle retractors, various size clippers, I carry lotion, Mouthwash, cologne, Hairspray, Make-up removing towelettes, floss, and chapstick. In the trunk I carry my "show kit" which has tooth brush, and tooth paste, razors, and shaving cream, hair gel, various combs and brushes, deodorant, BOD spray, and LOTS of make-up, brushes wedges pencils etc... I always have my golf clubs, my golf shoes, my aid bag, my aid bag is a bag with everything I would need to save, or prolong a life if I came up on an accident, or got stranded, shot or anything else. I carry an emergency poncho with polar-tech lining, a loaded 9mm, lots of latex gloves, You never know what sort of nasty thing you will have to touch or pick up. And I carry an extra cell phone with charged battery, where I can just switch the sim card over to that phone if needed. I carry a small filing cabinet to manage scripts, and headshots etc.... thats whats in my car. I always have my wallet, my keys, my cell phone, a pair of latex gloves, and a pen with me everywhere I go. I am the recipiant of the Army Service Ribbon, The Army achievement medal, The National Defense service medal, The outstanding volunteer service medal, The War on Terrorism Service medal, the parachutists badge, The Expert Marksmanship badge with the rifle, carbine, machine gun, grenade, bayonette, and pistol bars. I earned the sharpshooters badge, life saver award, the french forrege` cord, and I am the recipiant of the outstanding soldier award for the 44th medical brigade. I have jumped from a c-130 hercules, a c-141 starlifter, a c-17 globemaster and a c-5 galaxy. I have evacuated patients in the ch-47 chinook helicopter, the blackhawk helicopter, the huey. I have fought fires, LOTS of fires. I have cut dead people out of cars, I have cut live people out of cars, I have watched bodies burn in a vehicle, I have seen friends get shot, I have seen a man be-headed, I have seen dead children, I watched a 5 year old girl get shot in the head by our military because she was carrying two m-82 fragmentation grenandes with the pins pulled, with full intentions to walk right into our compound and drop them, killing lots of americans. I have received training on what to do in the event of a nuclear attack, and it is disturbing how that works. Most will die, unless you are in the military, or you have advanced warning, or know EXACTLY what to do. I have been in a gas chamber that was filled with CS gas as a training excersize, and I was made to inhale it. I have blown up a tank. I fought a fire once in Cumberland county North Carolina where I got so hot in the fire that it melted my helmet, melted my turnout coat, and melted my SCBA mask. I was ok, thank GOD for the equipment though, that stuff is made to last! I have watched an airplane crash. I have been in a sailboat that capsized. I have been in two high speed car accidents myself. I was only hospitalized for one of them though! I have broken my right arm three times, my left once. I have had 12 concusions, I have cut the tip of a finger off (they reattached it though) I herniated three discs in my back, they still are and cause me a lot of trouble, I used to fight competitivley in the ARMY and I had a tooth knocked out. I have broken my nose several times. I am 30% deaf in one ear because of a mortar blast and a grenade explosion. And that is only some of the recent stuff in my life, so, I am a very seasoned 23 year old. I have lived a lot of life, and all I want to have in my life now is beauty, love. Is that too much to ask? I will still be adventurous, but honestly, I have had so much REAL adventure in my life, I dont have to go looking for it because I am bored. I spent my life from my late teenage years until I was 22 doing nothing but literally saving lives, being a hero, being an idiot, being surrounded by blood, death, tragedy, horrible ugly things, I have seen the ugliest side of life, and now all I want is the beautiful. I want nice art work, I want to act. And I want to act in beautiful projects about love, and beauty. I dont know if you understand me, but I have seen so much crap, and dealt with so much crap that I need to get away from it completely! I want a beautiful house, with beautiful art and design, a beautiful wife with a beautiful relationship full of love romance and compassion. I used to get up at 5:30 in the morning and go to a hospital emergency room where on a daily basis I would see one person die, someone would always come in from a jump injury with a bone sticking out of their leg or arm or something, occasionally someone would come in shot, head split open, limb cut off or cut up real bad, someone else would be puking all over the place, someone else would be pissing on themselves, someone else would be there complaining about some whimpy injury just to get out of work. When I was a firefighter, It was a daily occourance to go somewhere where someones dad or mom had a heart attck or stroke and are about to die, and the family would come up to me crying, screaming, begging me or the other firefighters to save their mom or dad or spouse, and they would be like "Oh my GOD, is she gonna be ok? Please save my wife, dont let her die!" It gets kinda stressful after the first time you hear it. Some people went to a job where they counted money, or were responsible for making burgers, or building houses, or fixing cars, I saved lives. Or we would go to some place that was on fire, and someone would be like, my grandfather is in there, he is bed ridden, and I would look at the house, and it would be engulfed in flames, and its like, well, there is no possible way that he is still alive, and if he is, he probably would be better off dead. So we would put out the fire, and we would be walking through the remains of the house or building and picking things up, pulling ceiling down, making sure there is no chance of the fire rekindling, and someone would slip on something and fall or lose their balance, and we would be like, what the hell man? And he would say "There is something slippery over here." and we would look and its whats left of the grandfather. Of course it doesnt look like a human body, more like a burnt piece of chicken, crisp and black, almost unrecognizable, and the only way to deal with something like that is to laugh about it. It sounds sick, but that kind of stress is traumatic to the human brain, so you laugh about it, and of course in the emergency services community, everyone from the firefighter to the coroner doesnt tell the family that the firefighter stepped through their grandfathers chest. I have a mental problem now that I get counseling for. I have seen things like this, and somehow it screwed up my brain, and now when I see a dead person, I am like, oh that sucks, anyone hungry, lets go get some pizza or something. And it doesnt affect me, but if I see a dead cat, I break down into tears like a little baby. It sounds like I am an insensitive person, but the psychiatrist says I have a mental block, and that I am not insensitive, I am just not dealing with all of the past stress. So, that sucks. The thing is, I kinda need to talk about this stuff, and get it out, and deal with it, but I dont want to bother anyone. I am weird, I may need to talk about something so badly, but if someone doesnt practically drag it out of me, I wont talk about it. Well, thats not really true, if I can tell someone doesnt genuinely care about what I am saying, or they are distracted, I wont talk. The whole cat thing stems from one morning, I was about to lose it because I lost a patient at work, it was stressful, and on the way home from work that morning, I saw a cat that was hit, and it was still alive and no one was stopping to help it. It was injured badly, and I had like this mental flash, and something snapped and it was like, if I could save this cat, I could be justified in all of the people I had lost. I started crying hard, I scooped up the bleeding cat, and it was like it was my own child or something, and I put it in my truck and I drove to an animal clinic, and I did everything for this poor cat, I put an articifial airway in, and as I pulled up to the animal hospital, the sign said they didnt open for another 30 minutes, and the cat looked at me, right in the eyes, and it let out a scream I will never forget, and it died. And everything I had ever seen and never dealt with came rushing back to me, and I sat in the parking lot, covered in the cats blood, on my shirt, hands, pants, face, and I just balled my eyes out until the clinic opened, and I took the cat and gave it to them, I was actually crying out loud, because everything just rushed back to me. And the people in the clinic couldnt understand why I was crying so hard, and they even charged me $35 to dispose of the body. I was devastated, I took a week off from work, and I never got any help for it. I still have not dealt with those issues, so thats why I cry when I see a dead cat, and that is why I will do anything in the world to help an injured, homeless, or abused cat. That cat that died represented everything for me, and when I think of it, it is symbolic of every dead person, hurt person, every time I have been covered in someone elses blood. It is just too much for a 20 year old to handle. I actually tear up thinking about it. So NEW SUBJECT. Here is one of my ideas for proposal. This is how my mind works, this is how I see one of my ideas to propose marriage, it is in the form of a film script, its how my mind works.

FADE IN---EXT. PARK AFTERNOON

FULL SHOT, HIGH ANGLE CRANE, CRANE LOWERS IN SHOT

We see a beautiful park in the bright sun of the afternoon on a spring day. The birds are out, children are playing, and we see in the distance two people walking towards the camera.

CUT TO:

The two people are now in a full frontal 2 shot, on dolly, walking in the park. On the left is RICHARD, on the right is (FUTURE WIFE).

RICHARD
(Putting arm around future wife)

a decision.

FUTURE WIFE
(subtle nervous laughter)
Given what a lot of thought.........what are you talking about. (full laugh)

RICHARD
(softly covering her eyes)
Close your eyes.

FUTURE WIFE
(confused laughter, big smile)
Oh-Kay......

What?.....Yeah.

RICHARD
Lets play!

Accelerated Zoom to close-up of FUTURE WIFE. At the climax of zoom, she has completed counting, and opens eyes.

Various follow along shots of her moving up the pathway, the music in the distance getting louder and louder.

If this were to be a scene from a major motion picture, all of these people would have been involved, there would have been about 2 days of prep work, 7 hours of filming. on the right day, and you would have to hire extras to be the kids in the park etc.... there would be about a week of editing, and the whole thing would cost about $35,000.00 They say it costs $10,000 for every minute of final cut film. And all of that would have only been 3 minutes of a movie thats like 2 hours long. AMAZING isnt it?
