How to make the Law Geek beg for more.
Imagine someone asking the simple question "how do I prosecute an MP for lying?"
It's called "The Ministry of Truth" (heh, yes, I know) and frankly I'm fascinated by what they're doing. Considering the Freedom of Information Act is effectively every Civil Servants bane and yet it managed to get pushed through Parliament? Amazing.
Plus, it's one of the few blogs I've read I could imagine getting involved with in terms of comments - because for once I know a fair bit about the context.
And yes, the idea of suing an MP for misrepresentation in a professional capacity is somewhat interesting. Although one of the comments further down struck me: "lets have our elected representative locked up by an unelected body or individual." I love the HoL and it's Law Lords and what they do for the law in this country, but that comment does clarify the problem.
I'm so thoroughly divided on the idea - what a way of sparking my brain!
