I rate onions as one of the best foods around, so this is fantastic :)

That's impressive - although it does require you to find a bloody big onion, so it's harder to replicate than some suggestions.

I wonder if they'd make a good accompaniment to elephant garlic? Maybe find some other giant vegetables to go with it?
