Left Mike's today, am now in Texas, staying at a hotel and hanging out with Lydia tonight at her house. Her parents are home and are watching me like a hawk. I'm being polite, though, so they're leaving all of us alone, a bit. We're just watching a movie right now, with her friends. They're sweet girls, I like being here a lot.
They asked if I had a girlfriend, I said no, I just got out of a relationship, and they kind of sparkled. They wanted to know everything. Lydia told me it was okay, so I told them it wasn't a girlfriend.
Of course, that sent them into a frenzy of asking questions. It was kind of funny, and I enjoyed myself. I am enjoying myself. I feel kind of weird for hanging out with teenage girls, but they're just so nice and smart and funny. I was never that cool at their age.
Lydia's sixteenth birthday is in exactly two months. I wonder what I could do for her. I'll have to think about it.
Okay, so Rachel's making cinnamon popcorn. I'm off to pig out and watch more cartoons.
