Me: Hey Suz, remind me to go to the bookies later.
Suz: Why Rich?
Me: Coz I think Hedgehunter is going to win the Grand National and I'm gonna make a bet.
Suz: Right so!
Conversation 2:
Suz: Oh! Do you wanna go to the bookies now?
Me: Nah!
Suz: Why not?
Me: I couldn't be bothered. Horses is a mugs game anyway. Hedgehunter fell last year. The race is a lottery anyway, the fences are often too high for the horses to make it, yada yada...
Suz: So... you're not going to make a bet?
Me: Nah.
Suz: You do realise that Hedgehunter will win by about 10 lengths if you don't make a bet.
Me: Yep!
(Laughter on both sides)
