I've never quite been able to come up with a title for this one... I'm accepting any that you can think of.
I’m sorry, I was watching
But I think, you did not see me
For I watched so furtively
That you could not know.
Your hands moving slowly, warmly
From the waist, down to the knee
Your fingers dancing on the seams, rubbing their way in
Deftly turning-- jeans, end over end
You set them on the counter
Flat and neat, as you turned towards me
I glanced away, fearful that you had noticed
The way that I watched you
You took your little shirt
Black, delicate, with it’s own sweet scent
And lifted it swiftly overhead
Your slender bare arms
So soft to the touch
Moved swiftly, tossing it carelessly aside
I glanced away, and looking back
Saw your eyes meet my own
In that moment I knew,
You had seen me watching
As you folded your laundry.
