Today was an interesting day. It was fun, but it wasn't the day I'd pick for my birthday. I had always pictured my 18th birthday being a day I spent with my family all day and didn't go to school or even so much as think about school. Instead, I was at Plymouth all day, and it was an amazing experience, but it certainly was not the 18th birthday I was expecting. Does that make me a horrible person? I enjoyed what we did. To be honest I would rather have moved my birthday than the choral festival.
Plymouth was amazing. Dr. Perkins is the man who directed us, and he is definitely one of the most amazing people I have ever met. He knew how to keep a group of 270 people focused for hours on end. He gets 100% of my respect. I loved the concert, and after getting home around 10:30 PM, I got my gifts from my parents: a gift card to Best Buy and a tuner/metronome combo that is pretty sweet.
Tomorrow is senior night. I can't wait to stand in front of the field with my parents. I have a feeling that tomorrow is going to feel more like a birthday than today did, which is okay with me. I'm going out to Applebee's hopefully after the game, and I am seriously looking forward to that as well. That's about it. Have a lovely night!
