Title: Just Like This
Author: Ricey
Pairings: Kangin .x. Ryeowook
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: I do not own nor am I associated with SM Entertainment, in particular Super Junior and it's subsequent 13 members. The following is a work of fiction and aside from real persons belonging to themselves; everything else belongs to the writer.
A/N:AU. In which Kangin is a hot model and Ryewook is a forward fan. I wanted to protray what I think their relationship really is, fast and awkward and abrupt. Kangin a bit awkward and hopelessly goofy whereas Ryeowook knows what he wants and exaclty how to get it. Hope it came across that way. Title taken from Ryeowook's brilliant performance on Star Golden Bell (subbed version by SJSubs). Number 089/100, as part of the 100 Super Junior Fics Challenge.

Summary: 089. "I like your face.", Kangin .x. Ryeowook

"Oppa, you're the most handsome person ever."

"Thank you very much." Kangin smiled, his dark eyes crinkling and turning into half moons. "Thank you for supporting me."

"Fighting!"

"Fighting," he replied back, raising a fist in response to her raised fist. He shook out his cramped hand, already grabbing the next picture of himself and posing his signing pen in the right hand corner. Whatever obscenely cute comment he came up with died in his throat when he looked up.

He's beautiful. The thought escaped to his brain before he could stop himself. The boy couldn't have been more than eighteen, his eyes as big as moons in distant galaxies, color of black midnight. His small hooked nose created a lovely soft contrast to the distinct shape of his cheekbones, when he smiled, small white even teeth stretched his slightly pouty mouth thin. His soft voice matched his soft appearance and it was then that Kangin realized not only had he been openly staring but he had missed everything the young boy was saying.

"...and you're the best, really."

"I like your face," Kangin said dumbly. He immediately heaved a hiccupping laugh, forcing his uncomfortable laughter onto the boy's slightly confused and reddening face. "Aigoo. I'm sorry, what was your name again?"

"Ryeowook."

Kangin carefully wrote out the boy's (Ryeowook's) name, signing his picture with a small note and the flourish that was his signature. "Thank you for coming out and for supporting me. It's not often that I have boys come out to these fan signings."

Ryeowook took the outstretched photo with small hands. "Oh, well. That's just how I am, just like this." He looked abashed for half a second and gave Kangin such a smoldering look that he almost jumped across the table to him. "You're the best...hyung." With a wink and swish of his hips, Ryeowook was gone.

Kangin stared after him, his heart pounding against his chest and all the blood rushing to pool in his stomach, among other places. He looked back down and snatched up the crumbled piece of paper that certainly hadn't been there five seconds before. His hips gave an involuntary twitch when he read the words scrawled hastily on the paper and he never wished to be done with a fan signing at that moment more than ever.

Let me show you just how much I think you're the best. I'll be waiting outside after you're done.
