Well, first things first, MERRY CHRISTMAS PEOPLES!!
Second of all, I suck at this updating thing... I'm just such a lazy butt tard. I just made that up :-D.
I do have a quick story I'd like to share, though, before I forget it o_o. I was in a Taiko performance one Sunday up in my town called Hitakatsu, and it went real well, only made one small mistake. Anyway, a week later, I was down with David, Aaron, Evelyn and David #2 in the town of Kechi which is about an hour and a half south of me (same island, obviously). We decided we wanted some ramen and went to this yummy looking ramen shop to get some. It was around closing time, but the people were kind enough to let us in. Once we sat down and got out our water and were looking through the menu this one lady kept pointing her cell phone at us and staring. David thought that maybe she was taking pictures of us which is sort of creepy given the whole... asking us would perhaps be better thing. But after a while she ran up to me and pointed to the phone and what do you think was on it?
Yep. An entire video of my taiko performance.
She asked me if that was me, and I said yes, and she seriously spent the rest of the night in absolute bliss that she got to meet me xD. So cute and pretty flattering ;). She basically kept running back and forth between the kitchen and me showing the video to us and then the ladies in the kitchen. She thought I was super jyouzu (talented).
Anyway, yay cute stories. I made the trek across the world - about 30 hours? Travel time was only like 20 (including the slow-ass ferry off my island) but waiting tacked on another 10 or so o_O;;;. But I'm in good ol' New York for the holidays.
This actually wasn't the original plan... I was supposed to meet my family in California for Christmas, but my grandma had a fall (she's alright - relatively) and they couldn't make the trip. Sooo I went allll the way home. And, to be honest, it feels good to be here.
Anyway, enjoy your holidays everyone! Eat, drink, be merry, try not to flash anyone or run over old ladies. Sound advice, I think.
