My day was..well a bit more interesting than usual.
I didnt get the full scoop, but just quickly reading about this astronaut that attempted murder on this chick...weird! {Agency spokesman John Ira Petty at Johnson Space Center in Houston saidhe was concerned about the people involved and their families. But, headded, "We try not to concern ourselves with our employees' personallives."} Especially when they're a little cuckoo. {Accustomed to wearing astronaut diapers during the space shuttle'slaunch and return to Earth, Nowak wore them on the drive to Orlando soshe would not have to make bathroom stops, police said.} {She has twin 5-year-old girls and a son who is 14 or 15.} neither of them wear diapers...thank you yahoo news.
Seriously, what is wrong with people these days?
And then how about that leaked air force video from 4 years ago. 4 years ago! Can you imagine now, realizing that there is indeed audio and somewhat visual proof that your son was killed by friendly fire. I heard on NPR this morning that the US told the family that there was no recording of the incident. Don't lie. Lies always have ways of coming out into the open. No matter who you are. May I remind you of President Clinton?
This dude outside my apartment ran out of gas. He asked where the closest gas station was...I started to give him directions, but then realized "hey, I can drive you there if you'd like." He gave me the eye, but then noticed that I had a shirt and tie on under my leather jacket...and that I was also carrying my weekly planner. I looked pretty harmless.
I drove him to the gas station. we talked about where we've lived, what we do for work, and how long we've been doing what we're doing...hes in med school...studying neurobiology or neuro something...he gave me his contact info and thanked me graciously, saying that if i ever needed anything to let him know. I responded with "hopefully not for me, I'm only 22," in which he said "oh well, you know, grandparents or what not. I appreciated it.
While doing a lot of photocopying at work, we got a random fax saying how we all could get a deal on some corporate vacation package...400 bucks for 6 days in mexico. my coworkers thought it was a scam, i guess we always get these faxes. anywho, i called the place...curious to see the deal. i kept saying how i wasnt going to commit today, and that i was purely just trying to get info out of them. he sent me up to his supervisor, who then said that for 600 bucks, he would give me 5 days in dominican republic or cancun...as well as 5 more days in puerto vallarta. all inclusive, just need to pay airfare and hotel tax...craaazy deal yo. sounds too shady.
its funny how sleazy sales is. its funny how if you act uninterested in something, it'll make the other person want you to have it even more. like ho's. you dont show any sign of interest in them. they take offense and then you will almost become a challenge for them. which in turn leaves you in full control.
i'm so glad to be in a relationship. no more of the "game."
