YouTube suspended one of my videos, Passing the Hat, for copyright violation. Not because I was swiping NBC's Heroes footage, but because I was swiping a Cold War Kids song. ...Alright. CWK's label probably brought it up, but isn't YT supposed to look out for NBC's intellectual property too? Ah well, I ain't complaining.
They said I could use the Audioswap feature to look for legal, public domain-ish replacement audio for the video. So at first I started looking for amusing music--there was a song called "Badass" by a band called "Rookie", which was hilariously coincidental because it was Claude/Bennet but I didn't like the punk sound, and it was too short. Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 worked eerily well. But in the end I just deleted it, figuring that if YT reviewed it again they might realize I was stealing from NBC.
