8-and-4 is the new 10-and-2
Just finished online defensive driving. I had 90 days to do the course and last week I realized that it's due to the court a week from today. Man, try not to get a ticket like, ever, it's very excruciating. It wasn't even for a cool offense either, I just didn't stop all the way at a sign. My way of passively sticking it to the man, I guess.
On the plus side, there were 3D instructional videos that depicted some passable car crashes. Nothing graphic, obviously, but still "Oh snap!" inducing. My favorite was the one with the x-ray image of an unbuckled driver getting pwned against the steering wheel for his own negligence.
In other news, the new Cold War Kids album comes out in September. That was pretty fast, according to their website they barely went into the studio in December. New single: Something Is Not Right With Me. There's a bouncy bass beat at the beginning that mildly sounds like Wraith Pinned... by Of Montreal, but it diverges and somehow makes itself blend into CWK's more saloon-y feel. Can't wait for September!
