So today's turning out to be very exciting. I forgot the Emmy noms were coming out today. Breaking Bad got four, including a best lead actor for Bryan Cranston! That would be his 4th nom, so more evidence to show that trotting around nearly-naked on TV can earn kudos.
Heroes earned three, but for the technical categories (visual effects, art direction, and editing). And Flight of the Conchords got four, two for "Beautiful Girl" and "Inner City Pressure" in the Original Music categories (I had no idea they had that). I'm at Squeefest '08 right now, yo.
Tonight my favorite geezers The Who are going to be on VH1 Rock Honors, with "opening" acts Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Flaming Lips, Incubus, Adam Sandler, and I *think* Tenacious D. I saw some video on VH1.com of Sandler riffing to Magic Bus, he did some excellent tributes to John and Keith.
And finally, THE DARK KNIGHT, MUTHA UCKAS! We found midnight tickets!!
