Sound Tech II - Celestial Ocean Argonaut

As a preface to a series of posts about algorithmic music that I have planned here's a little something in a cosmic synth Tangerine Dream/Klaus Schultze vein. It was originally intended as part of a project with Jani Hellén, reinterpreting Coleridge's The Rime of the Ancient Mariner as a cosmic space journey. The musical content was written in Symbolic Composer (SCOM), a LISP based environment for musical programming. The music came from a SCOM sketch I'd done while getting to know my way around the system, entitled chordal3 - you can see the code here, or listen to the output here. Quite a boring piece of music, it's basically a series of transpositions on a root note distributed between four voices. However, when putting together ideas of the collaboration I decided to see how it sounded slowed down with various synthesiser voices and kosmische choral sounds... in the end it it didn't work out as a starting point, but I thought maybe someone might be curious to hear it, so here it is:

The Rosette of Sirius - Celestial Ocean Argonaut.

FWIW, it should be played reasonably loud...
