(no subject)
That problem I got called for? Apparently the people in the boardroom don't know how to talk to each other. This is technical support. I don't fix stupid.
And is it too much to ask for a brand new machine out of the box to f'ing work? Stupid HP crap. Honestly, it doesn't even power on, straight out of the box. Do these people not even ATTEMPT to test their machines?

On the brighter side, I remembered to bring some burnable CD's and I put all the music from my computer at home onto this one, and burned it to CD, so now I can put it on my Mac, and thus my iPod. Woo! And since Lise is currently on lunch, I'm listening to music while I work. It's actually pretty cool. Since I got here I haven't had any speakers and I was too lazy to hook any up, but now I'm all set.
Unfortunately, the air vent directly over my head is linked directly to the one on the other side of the wall - which is overtop of the two microwaves. There is an entire host of good smells in here every lunch hour, and when you haven't eaten anything all day, it's quite torturous. Oh well, I like taking lunch at 1, less time until day end, makes it seem to go faster. 12-1 is usually pretty boring anyway, everyone's out of office and not calling about their computer problems.
Ryan got back last weekend, hoping we get people together to play Killer Bunnies in the near future. Haven't seen him in a while, and every time he logs into WoW I'm too busy to have a decent conversation with him :\. Extended text conversations blow anyway.
I haven't been able to get any writing done lately. Busy at work, and every time I DO try, I can't get anything decent to come out. I can't seem to come up with any really good ideas lately either. Too busy and tired to be creative lately, I suppose :\.
I ordered my Macbook on Monday! Then on Tuesday they upgraded all the Macbooks! I'm not sure whether I'll end up with the new one or not. I'm going to be a very sad panda if I don't, which I think is probably the case :(. At any rate, it's going to be really sweet having a decent machine for the first time ever. Usually I end up with bargain machines and hand-me-downs, now I've got a badass laptop coming, and it's going to be sweet.
I ate my whole lunch before lunch time. Guess I'll spend lunch hour reading, or something. Trying to get through the Wheel of Time books again, I'm almost done book 6, but having a hard time finding time to read them. Good books, been a loooooong time since I read them, so long I forget most of the stuff that happens, which is a good thing.
Tales of the Abyss is super-awesome. Another thing I wish I had more time for. Totally enjoying myself with that. I love games that make you think.
Anyway, I'm going to get back to work, my 81 Windows updates are finished installing. I was going to write something more thought-provoking, but on second thought, I'm going to keep that to myself. My head's a mess lately, no need to spill it everywhere.
