Cute Kittens Lie Within
The Hallowe'en LJ theme is cute.
Fullmetal Alchemist is good. I forget whether I mentioned we watched the whole thing. Then we watched the movie. Good stuff.
I bought Megaman ZX and VP: Silmeria on the weekend. I wasn't originaly going to buy ZX 'cause I thought they'd kiddified it like they did Battle Network, but after reading the wikipedia article (<3) it turns out they didn't, it's actually a really good game. It's kinda like Megaman Zero 5, except not quite so hard...then again I wasn't playing hard mode. I'll have to do that. The game is seriously just fun to play, just walk around and blow stuff up in a hundred different ways. I also sunk several hours into VP on Sunday, and it's a really sweet game too. The 3D extension of the original's battle system actually works out really well and I can foresee a lot of really neat boss battles in the future. It's neat how, if you actually know what you're doing, you can cleave through fights in a matter of seconds and without getting hit. The story is neat, it's a prequel to the first game and fills in a lot of story threads hinted at the in the first. Very cool stuff.
So I'm here bored at work again, there's absolutely NOTHING going on (Chris is watching NBC news beside me) and the WoW forums are down (my usual way of wasting time) so I really have nothing to do at the moment. I was just blankly staring at my empty monitor a while ago, but that looks conspicuously like doing nothing, so now I'm typing this so it looks like I'm keeping busy. Not really sure whether it's working or not, but like I said, I'm bored and up for anything.
Ed bought a whole whack of cards for the WoW card game (as in, $100-$130 worth) and brought them over, now I want to play more. It's kind of sad, but the game really is quite neat, the way they've got it set up. I'm going to buy some later this week/this weekend and we'll actually have a decent game against each other - the other night I was just using spare cards whilst he had an actual starter deck, so he kicked my ass every game. We didn't even have the minimum number of cards in our decks, and we hadn't read the rulebook yet. We broke several rules that are rather important, but it was a learning experience and our next games should be quite a bit more interesting. Dr00d ftw!
I'm still tired. Getting 6 hours of sleep is not cool. Reminds me of first year. I'm tired of...being tired.
