Adjusting to New York and Life After College is happening in fits and starts, a.k.a. joys and miseries.

I think a lot about how to shape my life now.
Now that my priorities are my own to make, rather than an educational institution's to hand down to me.

I don't know how long I'll stick with this canvassing job. It's great being able to spend my workdays doing something that matters (fundraising for gay rights or the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge), and I like the 9-5 structure that allows me evenings and weekends to explore the city, but...
But the job is hard on me psychologically, being mostly denied and ignored and scorned, then listened to and rewarded in short spurts.
And I have no creative outlet, which drives me insanely numb.
It's time to start clowning and/or improvising and/or making things again.

Yes. I'll do that.
