I've decided to take Matt's advice and change the context, not the content of my situation.

So now, while still sad and scared about the next month of my life (starting tomorrow when I drive to Montana, then next week back to California by myself, then see lots of family and friends, then hop a plane to my new NYC home), I am choosing to perceive it truly as an adventure, as an amazing opportunity, as a priceless time in my life, rather than the scary, painful transition that I have been starting to dread.

In honor of this revelry in transition, I have broken my budget and bought Me Talk Pretty One Day on CD to listen to on the drive (I'll be driving 10 hours to MT, and 24 hours back to CA -ouch). Somebody I know who is awesome, intelligent, and insightful told me that she uses Sedaris during points of transition in her life. We'll see how it works for me.

And with that, I will sign off for possibly a week, until I'm back in access-to-the-internet land again.

Much, much love to you.
