Typewriter help needed!
Does anyone here have any knowledge of typewriters?
I'm struggling to find out which ribbon to buy for mine; I've got a fairly good idea but I want to know how to be sure. It's a Smith-Corona Corsair Deluxe, from around the 1960s as far as I can tell from looking at timelines of Smith Corona models, but I get no results at all when I Google the serial number. I think the ribbon I linked to above should be the right one, but then it says something about maybe needing to respool it? As the photo shows, mine doesn't have sppols. Should it have them already? I really can't afford to buy it and then it be the wrong one and for it to go to waste. I'm also worried about potentially needing more bits and pieces that are also hard to track down with no serial number.
Please help!
