Howz everyone doing? Itz Monday 9.19pm now, summer time has finally arrived n the temperature is same as Singapore! Finally can show off my berms n birks. E pple here dun wear birks leh n the variety sold at the local stores aren't dat much. Only managed to chance upon a pair of birks which i've been eyeing for almost a yr but becos the attitude of the lady boss is sooo nasty, i juz dun wanna let her earn my cash! *hmmph* Hope i can find my birks in other places! Tell u all my "amazing race" during the wkend:
Our grp caught the Sat's morni train to Munich for a 1 day sight-seeing. A friend n me decided to stay over in Munich since we got a spare day of Eurail ticket with us as we will not be joining the rest to Prague this coming wkend. Upon arrival at Munich (4hrs train ride but it was cool...the new Eurail high speed train), we checked into a youth hostel jus beside the train station while the rest went ahead wif the sight-seeing first. Initially, we were supposed to catch up wif da rest but there was a signage in the hostel saying dat we will haf a free city guided tour on Sunday. Hence, we decided to travel to Salzburg in Austria for a 1 day trip. Itz one of the most beautiful place i've eva been too. Home of Mozart and the Sound of Music. The place is also famous for their Mozart Hot chocolate! *slurp* Superb! But the prices of goods there are too high as it is a tourist attraction place and prices have been marked real high. There are high mountains acting as backdrop behind the town.
In Munich, itz famous for the Oktoberfest and guess wat? They haf separate beer festivals ard the yr, juz dat Oktoberfest is the most famous of all lar. =p The tour guide is from UK but he lived in Munich for a long time and i'm reallie impressed by his knowledge of Munich. Most of the backpackers are from US or Canada, there's only 2 Sg in the tour n datz me n my friend. =p Nice place, drank 1 ltr of beer for lunch but my friend lost her camera while on our way to catch the train back to Darmstadt. in the end, we had to make a police report and take another alternative train back to Darmstadt. We reached here ard 11.30pm.
All rite, time for me to go bath n catch some sleep. Tmr going on a sch excursion to somewhere nearby. So quite relaxing. Hope to find my birks in Frankfurt (chances are super low) or Berlin. Gd nite pple! =)
