Ramble in the Early Morning

Waking up obscenely early is lame. Also, having something to do every minute of the day is also lame. Today I have to go grocery shopping. Then, I have to drive down to Chester, get my wrecked car and take it to the body shop out here. Then, work. I like working. I actually look forward to work. Making money, leaving the house.... I likes it.

This girl I work with is in cosmetology school and she has to do all these free cuts and colors. This means I get a free color and have to pay for a ten dollar cut. How awesome is that.

I have to write an entire paper tomorrow. I wrote an entire paper yesterday for my group project. The group project might actually end up okay. My meat project is due Wednesday. And we are doing shellfish Wednesday. I love shellfish.

Lily has turned the TV on and off about 20 times in the last three minutes. Awesome.

Saturday, I did my first cooking demo! Maymont Park has a huge show each year called Herbs Galore and J. Sargeant Reynolds Culinary Program does cooking classes. Our class was on herbal appetizers and I was the first person to demo. I made one herbal pesto and then used that pesto to make two different appetizers. The plates were empty at the end. It's very gratifying and good practice. Cooking food in front of people is very unnerving. Like, they actually WATCH what you are doing! Either way, if I ever want to get anywhere with this, I need to be able to do these kinds of things. Practice makes perfect and all that.

Well, it's seven thirty and I need to get back to doing nothing. Lounging, on the couch, with a blanket. I have a feeling Lily is going to want her wahhffull soon (thats how she says waffle).

I love that it is hot outside every day. I love summer and I can't wait to spend five out of seven days a week at Belle Isle. Skipping summer semester sounds better and better every day.
