Go on, add me. Apparently we both go to University of Herts and are both Manics fans. ;)

Consider yourself added :) i see your travelling in everyday. Whats that like? Would you rather have lived in halls given a second chance or are you happy with where you are?

I live in Stevenage, yeah I'm happy where I am I guess. I'm staying alone at my uncle's house (he mainly resides in the US these days) which is nice & cozy, free PC and Internet access, as well as a big kitchen and loads of storage space. It only costs £2 a day to travel via bus.

I see you're taking Philosophy, so you're in the Humanities programme like me. :) I'm doing Literature, Language & Communication, and Journalism. I was going to do two Philosophy modules I was interested in but I could only to them with the Intro course which takes up 30 credits and therefore places limits on my other subjects...

I like your pictures of the Uni!

Yeah I wanted to study Philosophy in film and media but I couldnt due to the credits system. Shame really. It looked like a really good course. I've already had an essay set for Phiosophy so far. It's an analysis of an article called "The Death of God". They didnt let you in gently :s

Woah. Heh, we've had no essays so far but quite a lot of reading to do for Literature. We also have a presentation to prepare for Tuesday, so that should be interesting.

Yeah, Philosophy in film and media is one of the two modules I was interested in. The other was Philosophy in literature. It involved study of Camus and Kafka so I was quite tempted really...

What other courses are you taking?

Im doing Literature as my main choice, Philosophy and Digital Publishing as a minor. Though Digital publishing doesnt really fit with them both im planning on taking a photography course during the summer break to go with it :)

Oh ok. Awesome. :) How often do you have lectures & seminars then? Surely you get one or two days in the week off.

What do you think of the Literature professors?

I get fridays off at the moment, though some days i get a lay in until lunchtime :)

I like the ones we've had so far, though i feel sorry for the guy with the lisp as people always talk over him. kind of sweet though :)

The guy with the lisp (Simon Avery I think is his name?) is actually a very good speaker. I was impressed with the way he conducted some of the introductory lectures, as well as the Jane Eyre lecture last week. His lisp seems to be only evident when he's talking at length anyway?

I get Fridays off too. I'm glad it's then and not any other day, nice long weekends and no odd holes in the week!
