I changed my userpic back to my old one. It is still my favourite.
Work work work. I am almost thankful that I might be laid off for a few weeks soon. It will at least give me some time to rest. And with spring around the corner it will give me time to do some wonderfully muddy mountain biking. That will be a nice compliment to my weight training, and different from the elliptical that I have been glued to all winter. Of course the cardio training while still fun isn't as fun anymore compared to my time at the gym. I never would have thought that repeatedly lifting heavy metal plates would be so great. It is also a great source of entertainment, there is one guy I see there once in a while that will only lift weights when girls are looking. He may very well be my new favourite person on earth. The gym has taught me what parts of me are horribly out of shape and what parts I really love about myself. My arms toping the list, I don't have the massive muscles that some guys have, but mine look like I work with them, instead of just work them out. Seeing my personal collection of fat going away is great, since I started really running and lifting weights (after she and I parted ways) I have came down from 96kg to about 90.8 KG (211lbs to 199lbs). I can't really see it in the mirror since I tend to see myself everyday, but what really got me to notice it is that my watch no longer fits as tightly as before. I'm on the verge of drilling a new hole in my belts and looking for smaller teeshirts.
My main goal is to get into "The Belly off club" in the Men's Health magazines. I am almost positive that I can do that in less than a year. When I do, I will make sure to post it here.
I have been thinking recently about what the next year and a half will see me doing. I realize that I can't be truly free while still having debt. So I will be Alberta bound (cue cheesy country music). One of the perks of being a tradesman is that if I am willing to go to the middle of nowhere I can make pretty good coin. Fort McMurray had better save a sport for me. I will be waiting until it gets a little warmer over there, I would prefer not to freeze certain parts of my body off. After I make enough money to pay off my debt I'm going to save up enough money for one hell of a trip around the world. First I plan on visiting some friends in the USA. I owe
shahrin at least two beer, so Singapore will be a stop. As will Japan, where I intend to look for some kind of employment. Before all of that though I will go back to Switzerland. It has been thirteen years and it has recently been calling to me. After all of that I suppose I will find myself somewhere on the planet. If you have anywhere I should go tell me, I'll try. I want to see the world, not all of it, just lots.
Finally a few things that rock.
David Usher, Fall Out Boy, and Finger 11 - All of their new albums.
300. I have had to stop myself from kicking people into wells because of this movie.
The Habs beating the Leafs while I was the only Habs fan at the party.
Spring slowly coming.
Gabe.
