Yeah, you were right about this, too. Her writing is gorgeous, poetic at times.

I was wrong about the number of Halloween-size (read: miniature) boxes of citric acid-covered sugar pellets (aka Nerds; again not my words but what else is new, dammit Jim I'm an actor not a writer) I ate. It wasn't 6 but 10. I had four of the empty boxes lined up on a different part of my desk. It's a wonder I've been able to sit still long enough to read.

Today's weather (70 degrees!) almost feels like California... but in California I didn't have a 13th floor fire escape to sit out on while I read. I wish Lucia was here to sit out with me, but she soon will be.
