Love never ends.

hello, wow.. been so long since i last post an entry here..

when i was younger, trips to my grandma's place in malaysia were more frequent. i was only about nine to ten. i stayed overnight in the same house where my father, aunts and uncles all grew up in. when you were young, you knew nothing about luxury or comfort. all you ever wanted was mere fun and a place to run. the house although pieced together with wooden planks (even the rooms were separated with just a large piece of wood), and abound with mosquitoes provided much fun for me and my brother. we would be in rooms next to each other and throw bolsters over the "walls". haha!

my third aunt was very into cross-stitch at a period. she would get all the yarn threads and the large piece of Aida cloth and start on her work. i got into it under her influence but as a child, i could only manage an Aida panel (this round, wooden thing). i remember my aunt finishing this piece of absolutely beautiful cross-stitch which is still being displayed in the new house back in malaysia today. the poem on her work was surrounded by roses and i would read the it over and over again in my mind when i was a kid. it goes like this..

Love is patient, Love is kind,
It does not envy, it does not boast,
It is not proud, It is not rude,
It is not self-seeking,
It is not easily angered,
It keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil,
but rejoices with the truth.

Love always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres.

Love bears all things, believes all things,
hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never ends.

it didn't mean anything to me as a kid but i like the way it ends. but as i grow up, i am beginning to see light in the words.
