Son, I love you at your darkest.

Last weekend was pretty intense.

Friday;
Woke up, went to school. I was there for only first slot,
which was History.
I like History.
Then afterwards me, Josh and Braydan met up downstairs,
to meet up with Braedon, who was giving us the lift. So
then we quickly dropped by my house, picked up my gear,
and off we went.
Drove for about an hour to Neepawa, and stopped off at
his mom's place to set up base. So now we find out that
Kevin Mozden's coming a bit late, so we grabbed Wedding
Crashers.
It's pretty funny.
But on the way to the video store, we listened to the
comedy CD Josh had brought with Brian Reagen.
I cried so hard.
I thought my insides ruptured into a mass of eternal laughter.
So onwards we went from Neepawa to Gimli.
Manymanymanyhours.
Once we got there, it was straight to the yelling of everyone's
names, and I was stuck with being dubbed 'the other guy',
because I had to collect all the frozen and scattered snacks
to bring inside to unthaw in the carhold. It was pretty sweet
finally meeting everyone.

Stu; Very sweet guy. Skinny, tight pants, contagious accent.
Erika; Stu's girlfriend. Cutest couple ever.
Dave; Hey, he's a Dave. What can I say?
Janet; Dave's girlfriend, really cool.
Dorris the Destroyer; Very large and most of the time very close.

So it wasn't long before we had to run along again. The show was
at a church I believe, or what looked alot like one. The deal was
that you had to be there at seven, and then they locked the doors.
There was some singing, games, some drama, and a speaker.
During breaks, we usually gathered downstairs and whipped out the
acoustics. Me and Stu played some Emily and all that jazz, and
Erika did some singing and holy frijoles is she ever fucking good.

Alright, I need to let this out. Again.
I am totally led to believe that Stu and Erika are the cutest couple
ever in the history of oxygen. Erika wanted a nosepiercing, and
her mom approved of it. Her dad totally didn't. It's damned small,
and even I wouldn't've been bothered by it, I mean I wasn't.
And now he's sending her out to Moose Jaw this Friday.
This is probably the saddest news I've heard in the longest time.

Erg.
Back on track now, that stuff carried on until midnight, when the
actual show started. The Reception played, they're pretty good.
Nice and mellow.
Then Every New Day played. Now they're really intense, and when I
had first heard them, I'd've thought them to be like a five piece.
Like Silence Through Injustice, I was fooled. They're a three.
There was so much energy in their music, but it was pretty awkward
to do any moshing there. Too few, and most of them jumped around.
Came back to Dave's carhold afterwards, played some guitar and stuff.
When the hours were becoming late--well, really late--me, Braydan, and
Kevin crashed on the bunks. After of course putting the mic up to
Dorian's terribly loud snoring. But, after everyone crashed, Stu and
Erika walked back to her place at 7am, and Stu walked home.

I can't remember much of the next day. Had a shower at Dave's, had homo
milk for the first time with some cereal. So we had all slept late, and
soon enough it was time to head out into Winnipeg. Stu, Dave, Janet, Me,
Braydan, Kevin, and Dorris all loaded into Dave's what felt like a
makeshift van. After getting lost a whole bunch of times, and a few hours
of wandering, we made it to the church.
I still want to see the video Stu made of the ensuing madness.
The yelling, the kooked out faces, the pure insanity.
After making a hunger stop at Hooters, we met up with our
buddies from STI and Anew at the doors, and waited for them
to open. Five bucks to get in, voila. Hung out with the guys
for a bit until it actually started. Anew started up first, and
tore up the place as usual. Then A Scarlet Halo played. They're...
interesting. I don't think they're my style of music, but I was
obliged to admire some things of them. Then The Dying Effect
totally melted our faces off with Billy's damned crazy solos
and the three stringed muskateers making that totem pole. Then,
Silence Through Injustice totally blew me away. Again. And Again.
They've changed up their style from the album versions, made
things a little more hardcore. I love it. Me and Braydan helped
Miles scream for "Leporesy of the Heart". We got some kudos for it.
Besides I accidently turned the mic off when I grabbed it. Whoops.
After the show, we (the crew of the USS Dave'scrappyvan, Anew, and
STI) went to Juniors for some fatboys. Close curtain.

The next day, I played Tony Hawk's American Wasteland. Damned fun.
Then we left back home. Met with my mom at the McDonalds in Neepawa,
parted with Kevin, drove back home.

So that was my weekend.

Last night Braydan, Celene, Robyn, and I watched Bob the Butler.
It's alright, for a Tom Green movie. Butlers are sweet.
I finished my History today, and tomorrow I'm getting all four
wisdom teeth removed.

I'm kind of nervous about the whole knock-out. Maybe it's the
sense of vulnerability. Who knows.

Then shortly after I have to get some nail fixing. So I'll
be hobbling around with gauze in my mouth for a few days.

I still want to see STI, Anew, and whoever are playing in Neepawa.

Feeds 'em to zah feeshies.
