Weeks like this just reinforce my decision.
On Wednesday, Ryan started to complain about his ear. We kept him home and bought him to the doctor. I took off work. Doctor said his ear was just red, nothing to prescribe medication for. So we figued we overreacted and bought him to daycare on Thursday. We got a call from work saying he was inconsolable and was like this up until we picked him up. He had calmed down right before we walked in the door as he seemed to have relief from the pain he was feeling. And we noticed a little puddle in his ear.
Back to the doctor we go.
His ear perferrated and he's on two types of antibiotics now. Although he's in good spirits, the policy at his daycare is he must be on antibiotics for one full day before returning and can't have a fever or anything else affecting him. And we all know what antibiotics does to the plumbing system!
Not to mention my throat is KILLING me. One more day and I'll scour the city for a drop-in clinic.
So to calculate... I'm off on Mondays. I worked Tuesday. I went to work and left at 10am on Wednesday. I left work at noon on Thursday. Jason and I split the day on Friday, I took the afternoon shift and worked until 6pm to make up hours.
I look in the mirror and I wonder why I look pasty and defeated. I see it most in my eyes, I'm exhausted!
So back to my decision. It involves living off of one income for a while. Details aren't finalized but they have been in the works for a while now. I could explain it all but getting into it and then having plans fall though would be upsetting. I'll write about it once I have more info.
