bummed because my laptop died.  it starts up for a while and then just shuts off.  it gives me all sorts of hard drive errors.  i know i need to back things up, but i don't know how.  i'm trying to figure that out.  i cannot lose the stuff i have on there, there are so many pictures

This is why I subscribed to a pro account on Flickr . . . I've lost so much data over the years (I have terrible luck with computers) and now that I'm taking pictures I'd like to hold onto, I like the idea of a reliable backup. I just make private the pictures I don't want the internet to see (family pics, etc).

I'm sure you can find a way. Can't you pull out the hard drive and hook it up to another computer?
