Is it Friday yet? Oh wait, only a couple minutes off...
It's a week until my surgery. I'm gearing up for FUN TIME here people! I'd like to thank the HP Touchpad people for their firesale, and my brother for buying an extra one, because apparently I might get to have a Touchpad for my recovery, and hey, new tech and pain killers plus the internet... that can only end in AWESOME, right? If only there weren't so much to do between now and then. Groceries, kitty provisions, training temporary replacement me at work, laundry, house cleaning (can't recover in a pig sty, and won't be able to clean for several weeks... so I should just fumigate and hope to hell it lasts I think), organizing all the old medical bills so they don't get mad at me while the new ones come in... it's an awful long list.
A dear friend of mine (and occasional AWESOME beta of amazingness), is in the hospital this week too. She and I seem to have a thing with being in the hospital right after each other... though I wish we'd quit making it a tradition. My surgery is of course planned, but her hospital stay this time wasn't. (Last time she had surgery right before me, both of our surgeries being planned in advance) So if you all have some spare thoughts of good vibes to send her way so she can crack out of the hospital tonight without having to hire James Bond and repel out a side window, that would be very sweet and appreciated.
I'm sorry I've been so quiet lately, I've had things to say, I just haven't had the energy to say them. I'm pecking away at the next chapter of Double Bluff, the problem is that I think I have to work out the details of all the rest of the story line before i can publish the next chapter... so I have some good news and some bad news for you all. The bad news is it might be a slightly longer wait, as I might need the time to work out all of said details and have surgery too. The good news is that when I do publish, it should hopefully be rapid fire and you'll get all the rest of this story line in one go. You might still have to wait for 'book' two though for the rest of this particular universe's story. That last bit is both good news and bad news depending on how you take it... I mean, not all the strings will be tied up at the end of this 'book', but hey, that means MORE stories.
