greetings from the desert...
Merry Christmas everyone! or as I texted half of my contacts this morning, Nollaig Shona Dhuit!
Stan has been busy posting all sorts of little video and pictures on his blog, we were up bright and early for presents, fire in the fire place, and amusing the animals.
so far we've already talked to the parents, and now my dad and i are stuck again in this old time honored dance of "stupid webcam, work already!" oh well!
it was great to talk to the parents, and to hear my grandparents as well, i miss them tons, its weird to have a Christmas without them, but i manage to keep some traditions.
I was having fun telling my mom all about the adventures from our Christmas pageant last night. at some point today i'll actually get down, per her instruction, and write down the various amusing things that happened through out this whole process and the night. the kids pulled it together pretty well, still a little amazed at appearantly how little traditional Christmas music is played in any of their houses-or how unwilling parents are to practice with them so that they can learn their songs, but what ya gonna do? anyways... off now to be a lazy bum and enjoy first true day off in a long time...
