(no subject)
Right now I'm down in Kansas at my sisters house, visiting. That sounds wierd seeing as she's the only one that will probably actually read this entry. Ha. Anyways, I'm having a great time seeing her and the boys. I've had a few decent conversations with her husband... although he was being quite cranky today so it brought me back down on my opinion of him a bit but he's got another day left to make up for it. Hopefully I'll leave here not thinking he is a complete jerk or anything like that.
I don't know if I mentioned that I started working at Quiznos in any of my past entries (seeing as I don't update this journal very much anymore) but I started in September. Everything started off really great. I got along with every person and was doing a really great job. Then the GH store closed... my store and the GH store are owned by the same people. That threw us all for a loop. Yet, no one gave us any info on why that had happened or what was going on with it. So we went for a couple of weeks as normal... except for the owners son being a jerk to everyone. Well, last week he was too awful for his own good so after I was home for a bit and had time to cool down I went back in to talk to him. I brought up the fact he's been extremely harsh the past few weeks and that no one knows what's going on and that I was afraid I'd come home and find that store closed down just like GH. He PROMISED me they wouldn't, and I went home on good terms with him.
I worked Thursday 11-1pm and left that night at 7pm for Kansas. Friday afternoon I get a call from a friend of mine that worked at the GH store saying they shut down the other store that day. How fricken frustrating. So now I have no job and don' t know when I'll be getting paid for the hours I worked the last two weeks. The people from the GH store are filing a case against the owner and they want me to join in, which I'm planning to. Adam also wants to go after them legally because of what they have done. We'll see how it turns out.
All I know now is that I don't have a job to go back to. It's almost Christmas and we haven't even bought any gifts yet. We don't really know what we are going to do but hopefully it'll all work out. Adam's moms friend might be able to get me a job working as a receptionist for an insurance company and I've put my resume into two different positions at the company Adam works for. Either of those would be a first choice work environment, but if all else fails the Subway down the street from us is reopening. Who knows.
Lately I've been SO tired, and haven't been feeling too good. I've actually thrown up for the first time in like almost 6 years. My back is killing me an I've just been wiped out 24/7. It's probably just from all of the stress I'm going through with the Quiznos drama. Hopefully it doesn't get worse now that we are going to have a bit of money problems until I find a new job.
Adam most likely is going to get this Team Leader position in his department at work. It's a lot like a management position but they think team leader just sounds better aparently. I'm excited for him. He has been working his butt off for this company and it's really starting to pay off. It'll be a great pay increase and maybe he'll be able to work somewhat better hours. They've also added a company gym with a personal trainer and are trying to get a daycare. Hopefully he'll stay there for a long time, just like his dad and be one of the big wigs ... lol.
Well, I'm heading out. Going to try and figure out how to get the sims games to install quicker... it's taking forever!
Oh and Jen... tell me how to get more friends on here so I can actually write in here without feeling dumb =P
