It took me long enough and hopefully I can pull off the rest of the drabbles I owe this month, though this turned into a full blown fic.

I can't see Gai with any of his students. Pairing him in general makes me go "ahhah, wah?" with the exception of GaiKaka - and also, I don't think Gai would ever, ever sleep with/kiss/etc a present or former student. His principles would not allow it, especially not with Lee. Anything with him and a student would have to be kept to UST or perhaps a one-sided crush from the student for my brain to not explode thinking about it, but even then, it will stay far far away from the idea.

I'll have to write some more InoAsu, then. ;) It lights up for me in a way KakaSaku doesn't.

I think TsuShizu works well, but I see TsuShizu as being sorrow-edged fluff...as angsty a relationship as TsuJiraiya, because I believe Tsunade will always be in love with Dan in a way she will never connect with either her former teammate or her student. She may fall in love with them, but Dan will always be there in her mind. At the same time, both TsuShizu and TsuJira can be very fun - Shizune tolerating Tsunade's bad habits with frustrated&amused affection, or Jiraiya and Tsunade making fun of each other and getting companionably drunk.
