Update!
I am now officially home! The cats are settled and I'm back to working on the this and that of getting settled in myself.
I wanted to update you guys on some things. Cory and I are in what we're calling a trial separation. We're calling ourselves this to keep the Army out of our hair while we're taking care of loose ends and getting ourselves to a good place to do the split. So the definition of this new and exciting style of relationship is, "we're only married on paper." He's supporting me financially, and I get to keep my health insurance but we aren't together in any way shape or form.
In August I plan to go back and if things are where I hope they'll be by then, we'll be able to go to the courthouse and get the knot officially untied. Until then, I'm just home "sorting myself out".
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the plan.
