[[ Prologue ]]

*enter Yong Soo/female!Yao smut here that I forgot to save...that involved ice cubes*

[[ 1.1 ]]

[China] That had been a dumb idea. Perhaps she'd been drunk at the time, perhaps Yong Soo had drugged her, or perhaps what her grandfather said was true and that when girls were alone with boys, evil was their companion. Sitting here now, nearly a month later (she hadn't dared let herself be alone for too long with him after that on the principal that she'd already given in once and would probably again) sitting on the floor of the bathroom while considering the pink plus carefully, she guessed that the old man was probably right.

Oh, the headache was back. Not to be mistaken for nausea, this headache was specifically for Yong Soo and all of his exploits. He'd already agreed to marry her, hadn't he (oh god, trapped)? She swiped a hand across her eyes, sliding her hands into her pockets as she made her way over to the phone, hesitating a moment before picking up.

"Yong Soo, come to my room right now."

[SKorea] Yong Soo wasn't expecting Yao's phone call. Most days he just popped in a days after seeing Yao last. It was like an unspoken rule that when they were apart, they were apart. Truth be told, they weren't apart too often. His cell phone started ringing and Yong Soo lazily rolled over and smacked his hand on his nightstand, feeling around for it. Finally in his hand, he clicked it open and groggily asked who it was. It was Yao's voice and he didn't need any more reason than Yao's voice to pay his aniki a visit. "Be right there," he said, a little knot twisting in the back of his throat. Yao didn't really call him. He didn't really care why Yao was calling, only that she was. And that was reason enough to bounce out and happily set out for her room.

[China] How do you even go about telling someone that you're pregnant? No, more than that, how do you go about telling the /fifteen year old/ that you basically /raised/ that you're pregnant with /his/ child when you're /still in highschool/? She could almost feel her brain beginning to give way, so simply did what any rational woman would do and rolled over. The pillow was placed firmly over her head, then tossed aside as she rolled over onto her side and stifled an exhausted yawn.

[SKorea] Yong Soo quickly found himself knocking on Yao's door. He would have normally barged in but their last meeting might have brought up some unsettled feelings. He knocked cordially, smiling to himself and shifting his weight from his toes to his heel. Might as well wait today. "Aniki!"

[China] "Come in," she hadn't bothered to lock the door, not that it usually kept him out anyways. For once, her intentions had simply been to talk to the boy, rather than torture him with a merrily locked door. Yao sat up slowly, bringing her knees to her chest, watching the door like a cat watches a mouse.

[SKorea] He walked in somewhat nervously. Aniki never called him like this and it wasn't in Yao's nature to simply sit on her bed without response. "I'm here, aniki!" he said cheerfully and skipped over to her bed. He plopped down - only slightly red in the cheeks. Aniki didn't possibly want something...similar? It was kind of soon for that. And they hadn't really talked about it. Yong Soo bit his bottom lip and grabbed Yao's hand. "What's up, aniki?"

[China] It was hard to have energy like this, but she managed a tight smile. "Yong Soo," she kept her voice even, tiny hands giving his much larger ones a tight squeeze. "I want to know something, and this is important." She'd been wracking her brain for days, trying to find some way to disprove the theories that, until today, had been largely uncomfirmed. "Did you..." She stopped a moment, cheeks flaring with the shame of having to ask such an indecent thing, "use protection that night?"

[SKorea] Yao was always serious but this situation just seemed surreal. Yao never patted her hand over his like his, never used that even voice, never mentioned /that/ kind of thing most of all. "We didn't have one," Yong Soo said simply. He scratched his head and looked away. "I didn't think aniki had one and I wasn't planning on it so..." But Yong Soo soon smiled brightly again. "But we'll be okay, right, aniki?"

[China] That was what she thought. For a moment, her face fell. Crumpled. This wasn't the future she'd ever envisioned for herself. Not this young, and even with his persistance, she never imagined that Yong Soo would ever... "No, we won't," she pulled her hands back, letting them rest on her lap. "Yong Soo." There was no point in putting it off any longer, that good old Chinese bluntness was coming in handy. "I'm pregnant."

[SKorea] Yong Soo didn't know how to react. How /should/ he react. He laughed it off slightly, just at first. He then swallowed and his lips shifting position. His eyes were focused somewhere on a wall but were soon turned to Yao. His hand twitched - no, squeezed - hers as if looking for any support. "That's not funny, aniki."

[China] Her hand barely twitched against his. "I'm not laughing, aru." She slipped away for a moment, reaching to grasp the test on the edge of the table, barely batting an eye at the pink plus before turning it to show him. "It was late, you did not wear a... a condom, and this. None of this is funny, aru."

[SKorea] "It's not funny," Yong Soo agreed bitterly. He couldn't even look at Yao. He swallowed again, this time nodding. "So aniki is going to have my...baby?" The words were alien to his mouth and they didn't sound right at all. None of this did.

[China] "I'm having your baby, aru," Yao agreed softly. The words felt all wrong, sharp edges jabbing into her steadily crumbling future. "The question is..." Is it going to stay your baby? Depending on what he did, it would probably be easier to return to China and enter into one of the older arranged marriages that had been scrapped years ago by her family. "What do we do, aru."

[SKorea] "A-Aniki has always been better about this sort of thing." Yong Soo didn't even notice how his voice was beginning to shake. He couldn't even think of everything Yao could possibly mean by "what do we do", but he didn't care to start. "I...want to do whatever aniki wants. It's m-mine, but it's aniki's body!"

[China] For a moment, silence reigned supreme. Yao let her eyes close, taking in a deep, soothing breath. "You said that night... before we... That you would marry me, didn't you?" She opened her eyes, turning to gaze at the other. "If we.. set a wedding soon, then we could pass this off as a premature..."

[SKorea] At the mention of the wedding, Yong Soo snapped upright and nodded eagerly. He didn't go back on his promises - /especially/ when it came to Yao. "Of course!" But he paused, now looking at his fiancee in the eye. "But are you ready for that, aniki?"

[China] "I'm not sure," her honesty was admirable, at least. Her fingers ghosted over her stomach, still flat, still hidden. "But we have no other choice..." Yao reached out, hesitantly, and gently cupped his cheek. "And you love me, don't you?"

[SKorea] "More than kimchi!" Yong Soo piped, holding her hand there. He reached out to awkwardly place a hand on her stomach and stared. It didn't look any different, thinking that Yao's stomach would soon be different - stretched, large, any other thought he didn't care to dwell on - was disturbing. And scary. But Yao was just as scared as he was and here he was the man. Yong Soo finally nodded at Yao. "We'll be okay!"

[China] The hand on her stomach felt odd. Warm, comforting, but odd all the same. Yao let her head rest on his shoulder, her arm sliding around to hug him loosely around the neck. She didn't like this situation, didn't like the fact that it was forced, but couldn't back out all the same. "... We should call our families and plan soon."

[SKorea] They won't be happy," Yong Soo pointed out. And not just a little. This would be vehemet, snarling pitbulls glaring in your eye dog-eat-dog war. Yong Soo sighed and kept his hand there, pressed his fingers just slightly. It didn't even feel any different. And speaking of families... "Who's going to raise it?"

[China] "I know," Yao replied stiffly, moving to stand to pace around the room. If worst came to worst, her family would simply arrange a rushed marriage and their honor wouldn't be compromised. "You've still got school to finish... I could work to finish my highschool back at home in China with tutors, so I'm going to have to..."

[SKorea] In that moment, Yong Soo's world shattered. His rationale wan't the best, the way he decided to handle situations not much better, and Yao wanted to leave him?

"You can't leave me by myself," he said simply. He folded his hands together, his unified fist shaking even more. "I'm responsible, too. That's not fair! And..."

Yong Soo released his hands from their grip. His anxiety caused them to grip at the bedsheets again. "I don't know what I'll do without you."

[China] "... Yong Soo, it wouldn't be forever," that was perhaps a lie. If their families wouldn't agree to the wedding, then she would marry another. Wouldn't see him again, that was just common sense. She hugged an arm loosely around her waist, turning to look at him. "We would marry and make this look like it occurred during our honeymoon, then you would return to school here."

She moved to sit back down on the edge of the bed, grasping his hand tightly. "You have to think about the future, for once. This isn't a game..."

[SKorea] "But we're young, would your parents really agree to it?" Yong Soo wasn't so concerned about his family as he was with Yao's. The Christmas season was always a mess and if he so much looked at Yao, the Chinese girl's father would immediately get on his case.

"I know it's not!" he yelled. This whole situation was making his head hurt. It was their first time, why did this of all things have to happen? Sighing, Yong Soo lolled his head over and stared at her. "Let's elope."

[China] "If we say that we're..." She shook her head slowly, the hopelessness of this relationship was now apparent. Yao scooted towards the middle of the bed, pressing her hands into her eyes. "We have to try something."

She glanced up, eyes widening slightly at the suggestion he was offering. "... Yong Soo, we can't."

[SKorea] Yong Soo didn't mean to be useless, but he really wasn't all that helpful in situations like this. He always looked up to Yao. If she didn't have the answer, then there was no way he could possibly fathom anything. Sure, they could tell their parents but it was unlikely that would make the situation any better.

He inhaled deeply and turned to her, holding her hands in his. "We still have the rest of the school year. You can...have it and then we'll figure it out. B-Because I don't think your parents would agree to it. We don't have to tell anybody until later!"

[China] Yao's eyes burned slightly, the sitation seemed hopeless at all turns. Yao had been raised in an age where independance was key, but one should always listen to one's parents. There was nothing they could do to make this any easier at this time.

She squeezed his hands gently, exhaling softly. "... We're safe as long as we're here. My parents... won't find out until we have a solution." But they would, eventually. They'd want to know about their grandchild, even if it was born in so many ways they didn't approve of.

[SKorea] "We'll be okay, aniki!" Yong Soo assured. He sighed everything out in a giant blow and flopped backwards on the bed. Immediately he propped himself back up. That wouldn't be an appropriate way to act in front of his future wife and...mother of his children.

[China] It didn't seem to matter to her one way or another. Yao sighed softly, laying down next to him, pillowing her cheek on her hand. "We're not to tell anyone here about this. Not even the teachers." They'd contact their parents, and their parents would... she wouldn't think about that now. She squeezed her eyes shut and moved to curl up next to him.

[SKorea] "But you'll get bigger eventually," Yong Soo pointed out. He laid beside her, wiggled his chin into her neck, and sighed there. Sighing didn't suit him, he thought to himself, but only sighed again. What to do, what to do...

[China] "Not for some time, it will give us a chance to think of a plan," Yao mumbled most of this into the pillow, closing her eyes and trying to relax. "When we have a plan, then perhaps we can talk to someone.."

[[ 2.1 ]]

[China] Yao should have known that she couldn't hide it for long. In a school without a uniformed dress code, perhaps she would have gotten away with it.. But in one as prestigieous as Universal High, she was lucky to make it as long as she did. The morning sickness had confused her roommate, the rapidd need for bigger uniforms had concerned her teachers, and finally all the clues had lined up for one person.

Yao pressed a hand against her abdomen. She'd made it four months into this with only Yong Soo being privy to the information, and even then it hadn't been exactly long enough.

"Ms. Wong, I'm paging Mr. Im now."

They were stuck now.

[SKorea] Yong Soo was quick to report to the office. He'd been more prompt with visiting Yao since they're little incident. Early when he checked into her room she was absent and that was a bit unsettling. For many reasons, of course, but none were more important to him than her well being. He opened the door to the office and took a seat, just relieved to see that Yao was there and safe.

"Aniki, you're here, too?" Yong Soo continued to ramble to himself lightly - it could hardly be called a conversation - as if they were simply called over to talk about the recent changes in his grades or something equally nonchalant.

[China] Yao swallowed thickly, incapable of giving the other even a faint smile at the moment. She leaned back, letting her hands rest almost protectively over the bulge in the belly. There were very few things that Yao feared; Ivan being a only notable one simply due to his massize size and creepy infautation with her, but this was no where near the terror that she held in her heart against the man that was her father. The fear of being disowned and left completely alone... "Yong Soo..."

How she wished she had Shinatty-chan with her.

[SKorea] Yong Soo sighed and slumped in his seat. No, this would not be a simple talking to. This was definitely relating to that which he thought was safe territory. Well, he knew this was going to have to come eventually. He forced on the best grin he could and wrapped a hand around Yao's arms. Inwardly, he was telling himself that everything would be okay but things were developing quite to the contrary.

[China] Exhausted, the Chinese girl simply folded into his arms. There was no hugging, no arms went back around him, but she allowed the contact. He was warm, comforting - currently the closest thing she had to an anchor in all of this. She hadn't been able to tell Kiku, or Gau Cheng, or any of the people she considered dear.

"The counscellor will see you now," the secretary finally called, glancing over the rims of her sharp glasses at the couple.

[SKorea] "That's us?" Yong Soo assumed the lack of response he got was a "yes". He helped Yao up gently. A little smile was creeping on his face. As bleak as things were, he liked tending to her and seeing her grow. There was something special about the fact he now shared something with his aniki that nobody could ever understand or have.

[China] Yao nodded and gave thanks to the woman, allowing the other to help her up and guided him along into the room. As annoying as Yong Soo could be, as absolutely frustrating and nail-biting and exhausting as he was on Yao's nerves, she needed him here. No, she loved him here. He kept this normal, settled, and it made her feel just a little bit better in the long run.

The spaces between the patient chairs was too far to touch the other without it being completely obvious. She sank down into the closer one, rubbing fresh tears from her eyes. "... You wanted to see us, aru?" She glanced up at the counscellor, now rather wishing that she and Yong Soo had eloped as he had once suggested.

[SKorea] Sigh. Sit. Repeat. And that's exactly what Yong Soo did. Without Yao's hand to hold onto, he suddenly felt very lost. Especially in this situation, it felt more appropriate to somehow hold onto her. Instead he firmly gripped his hands on the chair handles. Only now, the rest of his body felt antsy.

He looked down as Yao began to silently cry. There was no way he'd be able to look at her and stop himself from feeling worse, maybe even crying. Without falling off of the seat, he slumped further with reddened cheeks. This was his fault. He shouldn't have taken advantage of Yao's sensititivity no matter how much he wanted her back then.

[China] Had they been just a few years older, the solution to this would have been obvious. She'd marry him, they'd get a home, they'd raise their kids. It wouldn't be a fairy tale life, but it would be stable. It would be easy to cover this up.. There were so many things riding on this - their parents reactions, how much money she had saved on her own, the gender of her unborn baby... Everything made her nervous, the realization of how easily everything could go from bad to worse was enough to make her stomach churn.

She cleared her throat delicately. The small-talk questions made her nervous, but they passed quickly. Instead the man lept right into the subject. "Yao, why didn't you tell anyone you were pregnant?"

The Chinese girl scuffed her foot against the floor, keeping her head bowed. The answer was obvious - she thought she could hide it and some solution would pop up, but... "I... I thought that if did not speak about it, then it would simply go away, a-aru," she hiccuped softly, fingers clenching and unclenching the fabric of her skirt.

The counscelor nodded, turnng to look at the other. "... Yong Soo were you aware of this?"

[SKorea] "Well, yeah," he cheekily admitted. His cheeks felt like they were burning on the inside. There wasn't a need to raise his hand, but he did so anyway. "Aniki and I thought it would work itself out!"

[China] The man nodded, lacing his fingers together. "It's good that you two were communicating," he said softly, soothingly, glancing at them both. "But, realisticly... you know that you two couldn't have hidden ths for long. You're very young... this is a responsibility beyond the both of you. Because you're both minors, I'm going to have to inform your families."

Yao closed her eyes, burying her face in her hands.

[SKorea] Yong Soo rose from his seat and slammed his hands on the advisor's cherrywood desk. The desk calendar shook on the nearby wall while a few pens and stick it notes were just finishing their fall to the ground. "You can't do that! Aniki and I were handling it just fine! If we have to, can't we tell somebody else?"

He clenched his fists there, looking back at his sibling. What kind of man was he to just sit back and watch this? "...Aniki and I are getting married. S-So this isn't surprising!"

[China] The man appeared unphased by the crash, he simply folded hs hands and tried to give the youth an understanding look. "Yong Soo, both you and your 'aniki' are underaged. It would be a dfferent story if you were not planning on keeping it, but... you are both going to be responsible for a new life, and your parents have made us reponsble for you.. which means they have to be updated on any drastic changes."

He glanced towards the Chinese girl, who had crumped over and was begnning to sob loudly. For a moment, pity danced across hs face - but there was nothing he could do. "... I'm sorry. But these are our rules."

[SKorea] Rules? Rules! Right. Rules. And Yao's parents were definitely finding out now. There was no hiding it from anybody. The whole school would know. And eventually the rest of the world would know. And there was so much involved with this. It was... It was...

Yong Soo's saw the world spinning in front of him but the next moment he was down and out. How welcoming this dark bliss was compared to reality!

[[ 3.1 ]]

[SKorea] Yong Soo was so relieved when the flight captain announced their flight was over. It was unbearable, to strip most of the details out. Yao had to waddle to the restroom every other half hour, she wouldn't talk to him, the flight attendant spilled soda on him every time she passed by, and the in flight movie was a horrid account of some girl who got knocked up and lived life painfully. You'd think that a flight going to Asia would at least supply dinner with kimchi but no...

"We can go now, aniki," he said eagerly. He was the first to pop out of his seat once the opportunity was present and he even took the liberty of grabbing their overhead carryons.

Meeting up with Yao's parents didn't put him at ease, but hopefully she would at least talk to him now. His parents had already been contacted and were flying in today as well. This was going to be a spring break worth remembering, at least.

[China] It seemed ironic that she could say 'no I don't want anything, thank you', in several different languages yet it was never understood. The entire flight had been comprised of kindly telling the flight attendants that all she needed was to be left alone, keeping people's hands off of her belly (what was it about pregnant bellies that invited complete strangers to walk up and touch you?), and dreading what was to come. The movie only seemed to worsen her mood, leaving her both sullen and panicky for the meeting they were about to attend.

A brief nap had made things better. By the time she'd opened her eyes, they'd landed. She pulled the blanket a little higher around her shoulders, takng a minute to register her surroundings once more.

Her father was the one she was dreading. Her mother would be understanding, perhaps a little compassionate, agree with her plan and let everything unfold as if nothing was wrong. Her father, however, had never wanted a grl. That's why most of the people they adopted were males, but none of them could take the family name... and wth the one-child per couple law now in effect, not even counting on if he didn't try to kill Yong Soo on sight, it all seemed to be riding on the gender of the baby. This was far more excitement than she ever needed. Wincing, the girl pushed to her feet and shook off the remains of the need to sleep.

Today was a big day, after all.

[SKorea] No response. It should have come to no surprise to Yong Soo, but it did. And it hurt. He busied himself with the other things that needed taking care of: grabbing all the luggage, ensuring it safely got out of the plane, wiping off his jeans. This is was one stress after the other. He didn't want to start thinking about what today would be like. Yong Soo just wanted those days back where it was normal, that normal he despised so much because Yao couldn't like him back. At least things then were simple.

Yao tottered once they stepped into the airport. The kid who kept banging his head with a toy hammer on the flight was running around the place, his mother chasing after him. The airport was practically reeking stress. Shoving the luggage into his right arm, he guided her with his left, and moved into the direction he thought was the baggage claim. They were supposed to meet everybody there - Yao's family and his. Breathe in, breathe out. Breathe in, breathe out. Breathe in...

[China] It was her mother that Yao spotted first. It was hard to miss any of the Wongs, for even dressed in the Western clothng they radiated an aura of tradition. Her mother, still quiet young and decietfully beautiful, spotted them first and gently nudged her father. Although he was a little older than her mother, the age gap between them /looked/ like decades. His hair was greying, the lines in his face were like canyons, but his eyes remained sharp. And, upon spotting the two of them, cold.. The family servants had already gathered up their bags and were heading towards the doors.

Yao couldn't help but slow her pace, leaning slightly into her fiance as if simply touching him would dispell the nightmare that was about to unfold.

[SKorea] "I-I have to go to the bathroom," Yong Soo squeaked as soon as he saw Yao's father. Yeah, he could at least hide in there for a bit until his parents showed up. The servants already had the bags ready to go but they couldn't leave without him, right? Oh, but they might drive off without him. By this point, Yong Soo actually did have to relieve himself. It wasn't his most gentleman-ly gesture, but he shoved the flight baggage into Yao's arms and decided to dash off to the nearest restroom.

[China] "Yong Soo, wa-," Yao barely got that out before the items were thrust into her arms. The unbalanced pregnant girl winced and staggered slightly to accomodate the extra weight, though barely had to say a word before her mother was over, assisting wth the bags and offering her some hollow words of comfort.

"He's just nervous," she said softly, though watching that retreat, she wondered if it was possible that he wasn't going to return. His parents could pick him up and send him back to the school while hers kept her here n China. From the looks on her parents faces, they were thinking, if not hoping, for the same thing.

[SKorea] "Not good, not good, not good!" Yong Soo muttered to himself. He went into the bathroom with convinction to come out immediately afterward, but the dull mint soap suds felt so nice... Aniki would probably enjoy the scent of them... No, that was wrong! He was supposed to be in and out. Yong Soo rubbed the soap off before splashing his face with cold water. As the water dripping down from his chin, he nodded to the reflection in the mirror. Everything would fall apart if he couldn't make good with Yao's father.

Feeling slightly refreshed, he exited the bathroom and approached his party. That old man still looked as fierce as ever, her mother just as kind as the last time. He bowed to them respectfully and then joined his fiancee's side. Awardly he lifted her arm so it locked in his. This had to look convincing even if their hearts weren't in the right place. "It's been a long time!"

[China] Yao had never wanted to sacrifice her relationships for her family, but ths was a dre emergency. Her fingers gently curled against his, her smile sweet and easy once among her family. Because she had to. There was no escapin this one, ignoring them would only make things worse.

"It is nice to see you again, Im Yong Soo," Yao's mother offered to try to ease the tension, handing off the bags she was holding to another one of the servants. "Though I wish it could be under better circumstances." She glanced at her daugther, disapproving for a moment, before the perfect, beautiful mask was once again in place. "We'll just wait for your parents to arrive."

Yao's father offered naught but a grunt to all of this.

[SKorea] For a single moment, they looked like the perfect couple: serene, calm, happy. Yong Soo leaned against her lightly with a grin. Deep down he felt content with the situation. It wasn't every day that aniki was so gentle like this.

"It has been!" he agreed. It might have been a little too lively a reply; he moved closer to Yao. His eyes darted around the airport before he confronted those eyes he worked so hard to avoid. "This is your first grandchild. This isn't a bad thing at all!"

There were certainly some pros to this situation - were it not for this unfortunate turn of events, Yao probably would have never realized what a sweet boy Yong Soo really was underneath it all. If it were not for this, she probably would have never considered him anything more than a brat. He was still a child, he had room to behave a little strangely, but all she could hope for was that he understood the true gravity of their situation. She leaned a little into his arms, closing her eyes and stifling a slight yawn before she heard him speak again.

[China] The tension could not even be sliced with a knife. Yao's father's mouth twisted downward into a disapproving expression at the mere mention of 'grandchildren'. "Too young," was all he said, and that was more than enough. The fact that Yao's father had never liked Yong Soo to begin with was another issue entirely, he'd simply tolerated him because the families needed that tie.

Yao's mother placed a regal hand on the man's shoulder, murmuring a few soothing words that the Chinese girl couldn't quiet catch. A few moments later, they nodded to one another, then turned their gazes in search of the other family.

[SKorea] May be young but we'll be alright!" Yong Soo whispered to Yao, snuggling her neck and squishing in her shoulders. He was at ease; Yao's father never approved of anything he did and the response he received was no different than any other time. Yong Soo was merely glad to see her father hadn't attacked him on the spot. The fact that Yao wasn't protesting against his touch was another pro. Something, in fact, he could only dream of before this occasion Yes, for Yong Soo things weren't nearly as bad as they could be - not to say they were fine. They were teenagers with no idea what to do about their unborn child and with at least one set up unapproving parents.

"Do you feel okay, aniki? If you're hungry, I'll go get you something," Yong Soo suggested with gentlest voice he could muster. He tugged at her arm with just as great of care. Now was the time to show Yao's parents that he was capable of taking care of Yao. He even turned his attention to her parents in hopes he might fill in the emptiness that was words unsaid. "We can eat while waiting for my parents. They won't mind if we start without them and the flight was long!"

[China] The mere idea of protesting any of this made Yao sick to her stomach. Her father's will was unbendable, his approval almost impossible to win. Even now, her parents were watching them with chilly eyes. Later there would be pity, for now it was just disproval and shame. The girl sighed softly, glancing up at Yong Soo - his optimism was surprising. Perhaps endearing later on, but for now, simply exhausting.

"Go," her father sighed softly, lifting his wrinkled hands to massage his temples. "There's a resturant here, we'll come find you once they arrive." He dropped his hand, simply waving them off.

"Let's go then," Yao squeezed his hand gently, her back and feet already sore.

[SKorea] "That wasn't too bad, aniki," Yong Soo said once they were out of earshot of her parents. He squeezed her hand back. It was warm, soft and soothing to his touch, and somewhere within that palm was blood running to his child. That thought sent chills up his spine though they were completely negative. Sure, it was an intimidating fact, but also exhilerating. But for now, he was simply worried about Yao. "I'm sure you'll keep this meal down!"

[China] Yao simply nodded quietly, keeping her hand where it was on his for once. His was at least a constant presence, one that would not abandon her in the midst of all of this. "They're debating," she said after a moment, glancing up at the gaudy neon sign of the resturant, "but they won't make a decision until they hear what your parents think." She was a little paler now, as if all of her energy had drained while trying to keep up that happy and contented facade.

"I hope so, aru," but she highly doubted that anything would stay settled in her stomach after this.

[SKorea] "...Worrying isn't good for the baby." Yong Soo didn't press the matter further. He still wasn't completely aware of Yao's intentions by what she said, but since this whole ordeal had arised, he'd been getting better at it. Instead he smiled amicably at the waitress that approached them. He held up his index and middle fingers to signal the number in their party and requested a booth. That would be more comfortable for Yao, he assumed.

Sitting down at the table gave a reward of relaxation as if he spent the whole day at an onsen. The airplace seats were small and confined, here he could spread out. He slumped over the table while the waitress laid the menus down. The neon was just as comforting: it wasn't Korea, but it was closer than that island near Canada that carried some rather nervous thoughts. He lifted his head with a grin but all too soon lifted his menu like a barrier. "Do you know what you're ordering, aniki?"

[China] One of Yao's hands drifted down to rest over her belly, stroking the bulge gently to soothe the shifting that seemed to accompany the nervous flutters in her heart. No, worrying wasn't good for the baby. Once this was at least somewhat straightened out, she'd be able to return home. Focusing on the future had never been such a strong point, but until she was certain that they were at least out of the woods with their parents, she couldn't help but think the dark thoughts about what her future may hold. "I'll try not to think about it, aru."

She leaned back a little in the seat, free hand plucking the menu off of the table. Nothing looked appetizing, but she hadn't eaten at all while on the plane. "Steamed vegetables, I suppose."

[SKorea] "That's it? It's not healthy if you don't eat!" Yong Soo muffled into his menu. Truth be told, his eyes were scanning the menu relentlessly for anything the least bit appetizing. This was China, of course there was no kimchi, but... "This is an airport! They should at least try to keep their passengers from throwing up their meal."

[China] "I'll eat when I get home, aru," Yao stifled a yawn into the back of her hand, blinking up at the other. At least she was back in China, the food everywhere else had lost it's appeal to her not too long after discovering her pregnancy. The school had been too vast to really bother tending to everyone's cultural needs.

She dropped the menu after a moment, pushing it off to the side. "It's still so hard to believe, aru..."

[SKorea] "Oh, you're not craving anything?" His lips curled up. Somehow he imagined Yao waking up in the middle of the night and ordering him to buy her ice cream because she wouldn't be able to stand it without any. Chicken wings were another one he heard many women craved. Yong Soo's father always told him that when his mom was pregnant with him, she ate double her kimchi serving, but that wasn't too surprising, to be honest.

Yong Soo's lips thinned out. The menu fell forward and slid across the table. "It's not hard to believe, aniki. This is real! Every bit!"

[China] "Not at the moment, aru," ordering him around like a slave was better suited for when they were home and comfortable. The place smelled sickly, too many unwashed people in one place. It was killing what little appitite she had left. She lifted a hand up to cover her nose for a moment, wondering if perhaps it was just her foul mood projecting itself onto her other senses.

"... That I'm aware of, aru." It was hard to think it wasn't when the evidence was growing inside of her, but still, all of this felt rather like a dream. Perhaps once she was settled at home and the doctor visits began, everything would finally settle into something that vaguly resembled reality.

[SKorea] "You okay?" Yong Soo leaned over the table and placed a hand over her forehead. "You're a little warm."

As hungry as he was, Yao's situation took priority. "We can leave," he offered. He was glad to toss the menu aside. His parents would arrive in due time, anyway. Staying around here wouldn't help Yao's condition which Yong Soo was beginning to worry over. Aniki's behavior, while colder, hadn't been completely sickly; if she was feeling a little out of sorts, the proper thing to do was to be hospitable, even at the expense of his appetite. Though it was a little sad to think that their only moment alone was being spent like this, Yong Soo was both happy and willing to accomodate to Yao.

[China] Yao shook her head, grabbing his hand gently and lacing her fingers with his, guiding his hand to her cheek. "I'm just tired," she replied softly, leaning into his hand a little. Perhaps she was sick, that was likely considering the stress she'd been under and the distinct lack of hospital visitations, but it was nothing a little rest wouldn't cure.

"I'd rather be sitting, anyways, aru."

[SKorea] Yong Soo pursed his lips together at first but Yao's assurance was enough for him. He was happy to order the drinks and entrees once the waitress came around. This may not have been a joyous occasion, but it was still his spring break and he was determined to enjoy himself - thus the appetizer and his plans for dessert. If Yao was in a good mood, he might even get to hand feed her and he would get that romantic moment he'd been patiently waiting for.

He sat back in his seat before deciding to scoot closer to Yao. His back ached, though for entirely different reasons than Yao's. He rolled his neck to each side in hope of stretching that knot pressing at his side. "Aniki, next time we fly Korean Air! The drink lady doesn't hit you when she passes by."

[China] If it would keep him contented, Yao would have done anything at this point. She leaned against him a little, her back sore and her eyes heavy. Her fingers stayed intwined with his for now at least, head lazily dropping to rest on his shoulder until their food was due to arrive.

"I think your legs were too big for the seats, aru," at least they'd been able to sit together, she pitied the poor man who couldn't deal with the Korean boy.

[SKorea] "You're too small. If you people were bigger, it wouldn't be a problem," he mumbled against her head. He sighed deeply but then smiled. They were doing absolutely nothing and yet this moment was perfect. He'd relish it while he could - before their parents started fighting, before all the tense decision making and talking to, before all the angry yelling. It was inevitable and temporary, just like this moment perhaps, but it would soon be done and over with.

He dugs his fingertips into her palms, happy that they were reunited once again. This position was reoccuring and Yong Soo wouldn't mind if he was bound to it until "death do we part". And concerning that, he wasn't even sure if they're parents were filled in on that. "Is your dad going to let me sleep in your room? He should be nice to his son-in-law!"

[China] "You'll be lucky if he lets you set foot in the house, aru," Yao's tone, although heavy with irritation and exhaustion, almost held a teasing edge to it. She didn't want to think of what her parents would argue for or against, what Yong Soo's family would insist upon, who would raise the baby or even what damage she'd done to the family honor with this little stunt. Even with the threat of a rushed marriage looming over her head, she still had to admit that she wouldn't mind this. Yong Soo had always been loyal, kind and sweet - he was ideal husband material if he would keep his hands from her chest.

"We have to be careful with how we approach them about that..."

[SKorea] "You didn't tell them anything?" Yong Soo asked. He shifted uncomfortably in the seat. It was right about then he started realizing just how scratchy the booth was. He wasn't about to dive into whose parents were expecting what, instead he clenched his palm tight and prayed that everything would be alright. Combined with the fact he hadn't picked up at all on Yao's teasing, he was then very concerned about going near her house.

Thankfully the meal had arrived before she could ask Yong Soo what was unnerving him. He was being as sore as a red thumb again but at least this would bide him some time.

[China] "I told them enough, aru," Yao considered that statement for a moment, tucking her hair behind her ear. She had told her parents that Yong Soo had agreed to marry her, whether he was allowed or not was their call. The Chinese girl blinked a few times, trying to shake off the heaviness that had settled over her limbs, it felt like she was moving through water/ ust a sign she needed sleep and a stress free environment, she supposed.

The arrival of the food distracted her from the task at hand, reminding her how not hungry she really was.
