I do not have the patience to write about Hans and Katt coming over Friday night so will just say that Katt surprised me by telling me that for a month that she had toured with Vashti Bunyan, as part of her backing band. Katt had not really known about Vashti Bunyan's music before the tour. had I decided to indulge in a ticket to the local show here where they played, how shocked Katt's appearance on stage would have made me. (according to her, she couldn't have gotten free tickets for the show anyway. she agreed with me too about the high prices of the tickets.)
Katt also tried to detail for me the events involving herself and her four old housemates, all of whom I knew.
the events with her housemates and herself had such complexity I could not even begin to follow it. divorce, multiple marriages, another divorce and literal insanity all took place. for some reason I lost touch with everybody just as this happened.
she fell in love with one of the house mates, she said his presence affected her like heroin. I could relate to this. later she met Hans.
I knew Hans then. I had known Hans longer than Katt. they did not know each other. when they met I told each of them the other found them attractive, so I kind of played match maker.
Katt and I have a close friendship. Hans and I have a close friendship in a different way. Katt has the kind of background that she can relate to mine, which few people can.
by her late twenties, Katt had pretty much seen it all. (not to say that I have.) though she never had had children. that she hasn't done. with one possible exception, I consider her the strongest person I know.
in the middle of October, Hans and Katt will move to Philadelphia. I will miss them. though in the last year or half and a half we have not seen that much of each other. I hope that before she leaves she will get to see me perform.
so I ended up writing more than I intended and could say more. all to say that I care about and appreciate Katt a lot even if I had forgotten a little before Friday. even though I had chased her for two days trying to hang out with the pair of them.

Katt's
homepage. she has a blog
here.
Han's
homepage. (Hans and I co-wrote two mini-comics with him, one of them, Sigmund Freud, for sale on the website, the other, The Warstorm, the better-written of the two, he withdrew from publication, for fear of getting sued by Henry Darger's estate.)

I had so much to say about Katt, about her qualities and all she has done. however, not here, not now. limited space, limited attention (for now).
