(no subject)
as long ago as last week I made a list of all the topics that I had meant to get around to writing about this LJ. and a few more things have happened since that time.
usually as I have said before when I have big news or a lot happening with me I have lacked time to post. not that a lot has happened. just as a rule.
a few of those things... the day before yesterday one of my neighbors died after a hospitalization. she died of old age. I did not know her.
of more note to me, Steve called to tell me that *** (who I talked a lot about in my old LJ) had e-mailed him and asked if she had also gotten back in touch with me. she hadn't. bittersweet news. from this I know she has not died and has not gotten locked up. on the other, from what he said she sounded as bad as she had when *** and I had last spent time together. where she wrote him from I don't know. when I visited her home she had no computer or at least she did not mention it and I did not see it.
another big bit of news which I learned within twenty-four hours of news about ***... my closest friend, at one, time's girlfriend gave birth. I know this because I ran into another mutual friend with whom I had lost touch.
so I called him via a place where I know people know him, he has not gotten back. a number of emotions, too personal, almost, to talk about here.
my transition broke up or played a large part in our friendship dying or perhaps we grew apart anyway. don't know. again, bittersweetness.
and an acquaintance who I do not know too well had a miscarriage, I found out. no real reaction to this except some sympathy. when I next see her I will say something. we drifted out of speaking terms. still, I want to say something to her.
