LOL I had join livejournal just to leave you this comment. I don't really know how this thing works, my blogs on blogger =) I'm actually 'new' to belly dance coz i just took lesson since last april, but I've been practicing to myself for years and watching Shakira!

Hi i 'm glad to found ur live journal... the pics here are awesome! And u are very awesome till ur present achievements. Can i ask how u can be a professional teacher also now? Did u attend the Belly dance school or academy etc??

Hi Katz.. There's no official grading or certification system for one to become a bellydance teacher. It's quite subjective. It also means that many dancers who can't dance well think they are good enough to teach others.
I learnt for one year in Singapore 7 years ago. Since then, I have studied with master instructors who come to Singapore or KL for workshops, and I also continued lessons and am still taking lessons under teachers in Malaysia. I only started teaching about 4-5 years ago once I felt confident enough. I also make sure that I only teach things I know well. I don't claim to know all sorts of styles, props, etc. if I haven't studied them enough.
