Wow. It looks like they're already backing off of the move, if the update at your first link is true.

It looks like they're claiming it was a beta problem? meh. Like I believe that.

I'm confused though. I think I'm a premium member, but I've never seen ads. I thought the regular accounts got them.

I hope so. See above for the backpedaling. I can understand wanting to appease advertisers with targeting, but that doesn't mean I agree with it at all. Even just offering the option of other would be great, because if it gets super super specific then it's like, what for?
